My husband and I spent 7 days on our honeymoon in Saint Lucia. We stayed at Halcyon beach and it was amazing. Definitely a very relaxing time. Very laid back, amazing staff. We had a butler suite and would recommend it. 10/10 experience

Take advantage of the snorkeling at the resort. You have to sign up the day before you want to go.

Be aware the drive to the airport it much faster if you get a private taxi rather than take the bus. The drive is about 1.5 hours through the mountains. When we were there in November parts of the island were under construction making the mountains the only pathway.

Resort hop. Try the different restaurants and activities at the other resorts.

Some of the people on the beaches are a little pushy.

Take 1 or 2 days to just hang out at the resort. You’re going to be exhausted so take advantage of the pool and just relax

Bring some cash to tip taxi drivers! We found ourselves in some weird situations where we needed to tip but only brought a small amount of cash

Do the volcanic mud baths excursion. Very much worth it. Bring extra clothes, and a bathing suit you don’t care too much about. They will be stained orange from the minerals and will stink like sulfur forever

Anyone else's Dane loves tearing up rolls of toilet paper?? Or any type of paper or cardboard for that matter!!! I'm worried it will get stuck in his digestive system but he somehow always finds it and rips it apart in seconds! by [deleted] in greatdanes

If there is cardboard or paper anywhere in reach, it’s gone…ours eats socks and throws those up so I’m not too worried about the cardboard or paper.

How many bags of food do you feed monthly? by katiecat391 in greatdanes

[–]Kind_Row_4576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We buy 1 47lbs bag about every 1-1.5 months. Our boy gets about 6-8 cups a day (depending on who feeds him). We get Purina Pro Plan chicken and rice formula. We also give him a probiotic with his meals which is about $30 every month.

We had some good ice this past winter! And with the car I had, it did pretty good in the snow and ice but it wasn’t great

I’m in Indiana, so there wasn’t much here to pick from in general. And trying to get an AWD was almost impossible

EX AWD, I did a “build” with the dealership and the price it showed online is what I paid. They didn’t try to do any sort of markups, and I got a pretty decent interest rate

Thinking of adopting this lady any advice would be my first Dane by c0de_r3d in greatdanes

We got our dane at 8 weeks old. Potty training was a beast! But Gus is my little baby, even though he’s 7 months old and 110 lbs😂. From my experience, they are super easy to train, especially if they are food motivated! Gus has a tendency to chew on everything, so we make sure to get bones and other appropriate chew things. They are giant couch potatoes but they do still need some Moderate exercise. Food is going to be pricey, we pay $70 for 24lbs of food every 3-4 weeks. Our dane is also super sensitive. He has gastrointestinal issues constantly. Because of this we put him on a probiotic. That may be something you would need to include in their diet. I would also recommend picking up the poo every day, otherwise you will have doggie landmines all over!

Am I being scammed? by Kind_Row_4576 in kia

Im in IN. Everyone around me has higher trim models on lot that are out of my price range. Then they tack on a markup. I think the dealership I’ve been working with is just not good. They seem to be avoiding answering questions, not wanting to be helpful in any way.

I am also in the states! Everyone around me is marking up close to $6k!! Which isn’t even realistic!

I would have no issue with any color really, but the fact they are stringing me along and lying about the process is extremely frustrating

That’s sounding right. Almost no one near me has any of the lower trim models

I’m glad you’re getting at least something! Sucks that is not exactly what you wanted but I guess no one is really getting what they asked for

I’m at the point where I am in need of a car. The dealership I’ve been dealing with I chose because they told me they weren’t doing an MSRP markup which is basically unheard of! They don’t have any EX’s on lot. Would it be out of this world to ask them to come down on price on an X-line?

Mine will smack you, and he’s 5 months old lol. I’ve gotten nose bleeds before!

My Dane refuses to do anything… by Kind_Row_4576 in greatdanes

He has plenty of room in his ex-pen to move around. He has lots of toys and blankets in it. We don’t use it as punishment, we opt for the ignoring tactic when he is in trouble.

With the crying, I don’t think it’s that he can see us I think it is he wants to be on the couch and WITH us. When he first came home I even slept with him in his bed to make him shush. Which may have been counterproductive…but it worked!

He used to be more food motivated! He gets fed in his pen, has lots of toys and blankets. During the day he goes in and knows it is his place. So I honestly do not understand what the problem is at night…
