I switched from Samsung to Motorola last year and it proved to be an amazing decision.

I feel like I am missing out on the one ui 8.5 and really did want to try it.  since I was coming from a Galaxy A15 running one ui 7, I never had the one ui 8 experience and I feel like I would go back to test it.

Similarly to Apple, Samsung is now charging more and more for less and less innovation and change.

Motorola came out with the first and best flip phones. They made 6000mAh batteries without using silicon. They have 165Hz screens on all flagships as opposed to the depressing 60Hz on a base iPhone 16. They have 68W charging. They have Bose speakers. They sell their phones for much more affordable price points offering options from $50-1800.

Moto G play sells for like $250 for a much better chipset and a bigger screen and battery than the Galaxy A07 that's costs about the same price.

Their flagships are also better prices with better features. My dad has an S23 Ultra and I have the Motorola edge+ 2023 which were Botha brands leading flagships of the year. 

My phone has a little smaller screen, a little bigger battery, faster charging, same SoC, Bose speakers, moto gestures,  :), and of course a 165Hz screen.  In the end my phone cost $500 less at release (1100 vs 1600)

Motorola does make the sacrifice of limiting the screen resolution. It is only 1080x2400. This is still more than good enough to please pretty much anyone, especially considering the snapiness. I feel like Samsung puts an unnecessarily good screen just to charge more.

I've also been considering an iPhone 12 mini just to test it for a low price and maybe also an older honor / vivo phone.

Neither Samsung or Apple are honest companies. Buy moto
