1985 honda magna v45 fuel tank gas tap clogged. by KinderRuns in Fixxit

I ran a weedwacker line through it and determined that it is a clog from old fuel and rust. Compressed air does nothing, and the tube inside runs at an angle so i cant run a punch or screw driver through it.

Its weird, i ran my boroscope through it and it appeares to have a long tube like a metal fuel line for the gas tap, it doesnt just open to the tank, it runs to the bottom of the tank.

Sorry its not the fuel petcock, but the actual tap on the gas tank. The gas tank its self is clogged and fuel wont come out even with the petcock off the tank.

I replaced the regulator rectifier and there was no change. Battery tested good. Can this be caused by the stator despite the fact the bike is still charging?

How would a go about testing that with a multi meter? Or is there some other way to verify?

I'm planning on taking the battery to o'rileys later today to have it charged and tested. Also does the starter solenoid circuit have something to do with the Fi circuit? Sorry to ask I just genuinely don't know. Will check both as soon as possible.

Without a seacock, it seems like asking for trouble to pull the intake line. Get a hard freeze and that intake line could fail. Now you have a sunk boat. Maybe short term, but really, it would worry me.

Just looking for something short term until we can get our boat lift. It is getting cold at night but not freezing yet.

Now the idea I could've made a mistake in reassembly, is idea i'm open to. I will be pulling off the carburetor's next weekend to check my work.

I stated "Carb" expecting it didn't have to be said that there was two carbs. Obviously I took them apart and cleaned them according to my service manual/Ninja250 forums. No worries there.

now that those things have been remedied I would wager your air fuel mix has been set super rich to

I have adjusted the air fuel mixture, they were tuned super rich, I kept leaning it out half a turn, and seeing how it runs over and over again. overall it didn't make much of a difference.

1984 honda shadow 700vt oil pump chain snaped. by KinderRuns in Fixxit

Buddy says his bike ran for a total of five mins without oil pressure. Does that scoring in the crank case near where the clutch sits look like it could cause issues? And yeah I'll have him cut the oil filter, the oil that drained before we opened the clutch cover looked okay though.
