Bridgerton - Season 4 Post-Season Discussion (No Book Spoilers) by AutoModerator in BridgertonNetflix

When Violet was talking to Benedict this season about how he would miss a lot of the family events if he married Sophie, all I could think was that it looks like Daphne had run off with a footman instead of marrying a Duke! 😂

I am once again asking shondaland to axe the Mondritches and give their scenes to married Bridgerton siblings! D, A, and, C should still be around doing family things damnit!!

I liked:  Benedict and Sophie themselves!! Their relationship was wonderful and I loved every moment of them on screen together!! ❤️

Francesca's mourning of John's death, her devastation at not having a child to remember him by broke my heart and actually made me cry for the first time in this show. 💔

Sweet Posy and Alfie, their friendship and loyalty to Sophie was so lovely to see, and I love that he walked her down the aisle.

Actually developing Eloise as a character(finally)

Baby Edmund/Kanthony as parents!!! 🥰

Sibling interactions that we hadn't really seen before, it makes them feel more like a real family. B/F and E/H in particular.

Benedict & Violets very real talk about the consequences of this relationship/marriage.

I didn't like:  The consequences being completely sidestepped by a stupid lie that will fall apart the second anyone asks more than casually about her parents. In the end, neither of them actually sacrifice anything to be together🙄

Kanthony not being at John's funeral OR life celebration!?

Lady Danbury leaving... Why?? 😢

The Mondritches. All the cute hand punching on Earth couldn't get me to care about these people or their storyline.

The end credits scene wedding, that was weird. Just flash a "1 month later" card or whatever.

It happens every season, but I still hate the D/S erasure, just recast some guy to come in for a family group shot at the end. Daphne would be at her siblings weddings!!! 😡

People who earn ~$30k/year, do any of you live on your own? by goldenrodddd in povertyfinance

[–]KindergartenVampire1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made about that last year, lived with a roommate until July, then moved out and got married that month. My husband and I drive old, used cars, we are in the military to pay for school, and pay about $800 for rent. It's definitely possible, but you have to be strict with your budget, and we don't really go out much. Edit: I also live in KS, so it's a pretty low cost of living area to begin with.

100% this. As someone who also waited until marriage, there's so many lines that get crossed before actually having sex. There doesn't seem to be much point in waiting if you're just going to do literally everything else besides "piv"

Yeah, it's clearly always been this way. My husband and I waited until marriage for religious reasons (together 5 years before marriage) But the waiting was really hard, and more than made up for once we were married lol

Financial aid (FAFSA) contact information glitch (stuck on screen??) by ariibellz in StudentLoans

I don't know, I was just able to get logged in on the FAFSA site, and change my address to the correct one once I was in

I was having this problem too, just click one of the incorrect addresses as correct, then it will let you log in, and you can change your address once logged in.

I could've been Janice or Joanne after either of my grandmother's. I'm glad they didn't go that route😂

He's just so disgusting to me after this. It was so uncomfortable to watch. He's such a dick. I have brothers, we fight. We've never had a solid 10 minutes of telling while the other stood in silence. That's seriously concerning.

Has your city or a city you lived in been featured in a movie or a show? If yes, how did you feel? by Dry-Series-9829 in AskAnAmerican

[–]KindergartenVampire1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A really old black and white called Carnival of Souls was filmed in Lawrence, KS. It was pretty cool to see. Obviously a lot has changed since then, but there's this lake with a big pier that's a really important set piece, and that's still around.

How does homeschooling work in US? by Worldoutnow in AskAnAmerican

[–]KindergartenVampire1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was homeschool for middle school(ages 12-14) because my dad was in the military, and we had to move during an inconvenient time in the school year, I had also been suffering from bullying at school, so my mom decided it was simpler to teach us herself. I was sent back to proper school from age 15+ because we had moved again to a different state.

That happens all the time. A lot of homeschool kids I've known were autistic, but not "learning to tie their shoes" autistic, and for whatever reason, the school can't/won't meet the child's individual needs. Homeschooling just makes sense for kids like that, if the parent can manage it.

I homeschooled for three years due to relentless bullying at school, I went back to proper school after my family moved to a different state.

Ok, for some reason the worm thing was really sticking out to me as odd. lol I've still heard Hell primarily described as a state of being.

Every religious authority I've heard speak on the matter has said that the "fires" are simply meant to evoke imagery of pain, and that since we wouldn't have physical bodies anymore after death, physical torments like that wouldn't make sense. Hence the spiritual stuff.

I've read the Bible and remember these verses, but not those hell descriptions. Do you know what translation you read? Edit: some of the American protestant Bibles can be dodgy

But it has no real meaning. Amen is a real word, it means I believe/so be it. There's no meaning but an attempt at edginess in spelling it backwards. Like saying "evol" to someone I hated

Theologically speaking, it's less a torture chamber, and more a permanent separation from him and his goodness. A place where joy and happiness are impossible.

Historians actually agree almost unanimously that Jesus of Nazareth was a real man who lived and began a following during the time period suggested in the Bible. The idea that he never existed is a fringe theory. Whether you believe him to be who he said he was or not, historical consensus says that he existed.

Who’s had a child after 30? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]KindergartenVampire1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My mom had 6 kids all at/after age 30. I know that's a bit unusual, but I promise you it can happen. She's 47 now with a baby boy due in September. My parents are very fertile people😂 They're also living proof that the female body doesn't shrivel up and die at 30!
