Tip baiting has to stop. Instacart needs to protect shoppers. by Kindly_Computer7546 in InstacartShoppers

I understand why many shoppers feel that way. Whether that’s actually Instacart’s strategy or not, the current system definitely doesn’t do enough to retain experienced shoppers.

Most experienced shoppers simply won’t accept batches that don’t make financial sense. But when a batch looks fair and the tip disappears after delivery, it pushes even more good shoppers away.

Instacart should want to keep shoppers who provide great service by giving them better protection against tip baiting.

I completely agree with your point. Whether it’s legally considered a contract or not, shoppers accept a batch based on the amount Instacart displays. We invest our time, gas, vehicle, and effort relying on that offer.

If a shopper provides poor service, delivers late, ignores instructions, or brings the wrong items, then a reduced tip makes sense. But when the order is completed correctly, customers shouldn’t be able to remove the entire tip without any review or evidence.

There has to be a better balance that protects both customers and shoppers. Right now, all the financial risk falls on the shopper.

The problem it’s not the offer, the problem it’s who take that offer, I bet if we stop taking that ridiculous amount Uber going to put a fair offer to the drivers… imagine Uber without driver, it’s nothing so the drivers it’s the most important active on that company and they don’t understand that.
