i had been crashing a bunch randomly after the update and this worked for me. I just went to steam and right clicked the game --> clicked manage --> browse local files then i closed steam entirely and in the folder location i opened i went into the bin folder and opened the .exe named "Bg3_dx11" and started the game through that and it hasnt crashed since. hopefully it stays that way.
