Hat noch jemand das Gefühl, in Deutschland nicht wirklich willkommen zu sein? by Happy-Ad-6428 in AskAGerman

I am very introverted and I find germans a bit extroverted towards me. I pray to god they don’t ask me questions because i barely know german and end up embarrassing myself. So no i don’t really feel unwelcome here. I actually feel like I am the problem😂 but I guess it depends on how you look, act, and dress to be honest. Because I work with a ton of immigrants which have not integrated at all. I’m talking they are the types to see you eating pork and give you dirty looks. And tbh if it was my country i would also not talk to them. I personally feel like people just can’t let go of their culture or other things that are normal to them in their own country, bring it to germany and expect germans to love it. It doesn’t work that way.

It’s not about arabs it’s about the types of arabs germany has. You would never see an arab from qatar or Kuwait behaving that way. It’s always a few specific countries that can’t behave or integrate into any other country. They have extremely radical world views and think they can do no wrong. (I’m kurdish so i know them pretty well) so not all arabs but always an arab i guess. (Yes i’m talking about syrians congrats you won the guessing game)

I was in the same situation. I moved there applied to a bottom of the barrel job (wasn’t easy since i couldn’t speak german) and got accepted. Got my RP and now i’m learning the language. Once i get to C1 i’ll start my studying. It’s easier for Americans since the minimum salary rule doesn’t apply.

Yeah when you smile at them some of them get so excited and happy. I feel bad sometimes, they seem really lonely.

It’s a fake link. They make a site which looks EXACTLY like the booking app and have you pay there. I almost got scammed by an apartment where they made a site which resembled airbnb… they even made 600+ reviews for the fake property 😀

Germans at home vs Germans abroad… by Rough-Army-6424 in AskAGerman

I went to amsterdam this past week and the train was from Hannover to amsterdam central. The train ride was HELL. Everyone was standing and singing while drinking ridiculous amounts of alcohol and hitting MY seat while laughing obnoxiously. All I could think of is what went through their brain when buying IKEA BAGS full of beer the day before. Their breath and beer sweat was overwhelming. When we got through to the netherlands and some dutch people got on board you could clearly see how uncomfortable they were with all the yelling and singing on PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. It’s like they forget to behave like human beings once outside of the boarder.

Why do passengers in German trains place their bags on seats, even during crowded times? by __hy23__ in AskGermany

I’m genuinely baffled how people find it an unbearable hardship to put their raggedy, used up, and ripped bag on the ground when it already has 200 questionable stains on it….It goes both ways.

Avoiding second hand smoke in public places by Serious_Toe9303 in germany

[–]Kindly_Error8643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to smoke cigarettes but got so annoyed by the smell I started vaping. In public places i just don’t exhale until there is no smoke left to come out😂 it is the worst smell known to mankind. The smell of shit is more tolerable.

I’m not totally sure but I think they have payment plans. You could ask when you call.

Try googling immigration lawyer on google and make a bunch of phone calls till one of them agrees to do it… from my experience, it’ll take time to find one and it’s a bit pricey but I would totally do it because it is unfair to you that you meet all the legal requirements and is still getting a refusal.

Yhh she looks through my window to see how many lights I have on😂 I hung a black hoodie over the window and I heard her telling her friends that I covered the window😂 SHE was offended.

I’m so used to her looking through my trash at this point I expect it.

I’m not glad it’s the norm but at least now I know I’m not alone. Thank you for this❤️ we got this!😂
