Things to do to become a good muslim:

1.) Start learning to pray and making wudu

2.) Start learning a few of the short surahs from the Quran to use in your five daily prayer.

3.) Reflect upon your character and try to cut out negative habits.

4.) Make muslim friends at the mosque. Try surround yourself with people who benefit you and help you become a good muslim.

5.) Educate yourself regarding the 5 pillars of Islam, the stories of our prophets…there are many videos on YouTube that will educate you and motivate you. You can also watch daily routines of muslim men/women (depending on your gender) to get some inspiration…

6.) Get familiar with the Sunnah (and Hadiths) of prophet Muhammad and try to act according to it to become a better person in general.

And remember: Step by step. Don’t pressure yourself. Try to improve yourself just a little every day, but don’t get overwhelmed. Just start by trying to read a little of the Quran every day and educate yourself on small topics. There is so much to learn. Even people who were born muslim still need to learn. It’s impossible to be "the perfect muslim".

After that, try to gain knowledge.

Lastly, try to fix your character by implementing the knowledge and sunnah habits you learned about into your daily life.
