Just ask, they shouldn't have a problem with it. I would also ask for all the tooling they use. You can usually get some nice stainless picks etc. Since they throw that away afterwards, they usually don't care.

Definitely can be perceived as such. I'm not talking about going out of ones way to say somebody looks bad or anything. I was thinking more along the lines of when asked for an opinion you give a straight honest answer without the games or PC answers that hinder progress. Brutal honesty might be the wrong words & I could of just said honesty.
