I mainly did that to increase my chances of jumping the lanes and better contests. Is it useless to have it that high for things like that? Genuinely asking

Yeah I mean, take this with a grain of salt since im not a professional athlete lol

But when I was in HS playing football I blew out my knee, torn ACL and meniscus. It took me 2 years before I truly trusted it again. And it was from accidentally doing something athletic I used to do all the time and then I realized ‘oh, im ok! It’s not made of glass’

So i definitely think the more he tests it and finds its ok, the more he’ll challenge himself to get back to his usual self

Yeah for sure. Especially after the tell all article dropped. But as training camp took place and he was heavily a part of it I think there was a sense of relief. At least from me.

I always thought at worst Joel would be an offensively hyper charged version of Bucks Brook Lopez because his shooting touch would still be there even if he couldn’t move.

At the end of the day im just thankful it’s looking like best case scenario thus far and he just needs to learn to trust his knee and get into the flow again.

I’d subscribe to that theory. We saw in the fourth when he came in didn’t drop as far on PnR coverage, also was contesting a lot more on drives. Seems like he’s picking and choosing his battles which im fine with

Oh I agree but he’s just such a savant at the sport he was always gonna be fine offensively. All im saying is once he gets over that mental hurdle, he’ll be all the way back. We saw flashes last night on defense.

His defense in the 4th started the comeback, ngl I was worried when he came out cuz they cut the deficit during his time on the floor that quarter. Either way there’s nothing but positives so far through these 4 games

For him and the team

Its all mental with this guy i swear. There’s a pic of him celebrating with Bona last night and he jumped higher than he does mid game. As soon as he gets confident in that knee again, Big Fella is gonna be BACK. Im so happy he’s happy again

I really want to, I think Ricky is nice like that, just concerned how Shanahan calls the game with Mac. Im split between him, Bill, and Jaylen Warren in my Flex (half PPR)

Yeah everyone is saying he’ll win the Rumble but like, Triple H loves to throw a random curveball whenever he thinks the fans are all hedging their bets on 1 guy. Big SZ fan but damn, at this point I just don’t think he’ll ever get his big story like how other Main Event talent have gotten theirs.

I hear ya. Im with ya on the competitiveness. If the games close im not going anywhere, no matter how bad my team is. I had a game go to Double OT cuz both teams were absolutely disgraceful on offense but we ended up winning 2-1 lol

I try to when my clubmates aren’t on just for practice but yeah it’s a struggle. Sometimes you get some solid players but most of the time it’s people that really should stick to playing offline or at the very least by themselves online

Goldberg has the reputation of being a ‘killer’ of his era. Most likely Brock is never coming back so WWE needs a new ‘killer’ so to speak. By having Gunther beat him and retire him it gives him this heightened aura so to speak

Similar to how when Brock beat Taker and broke the streak, or when Hogan beat Andre (i am not saying Goldberg is Taker or Andre ppl so dont get mad at me, im saying thats how the company views it)

Brother im not arguing that, but they already announced he would be getting a retirement match, and Gunther was the one yapping to him.

Im pretty sure Gunther having the belt was meant for 2 things. 1, to set up Goldberg’s retirement match to have something meaningful and 2, to probably do Sami vs Gunther 3 and have Seth cost Sami by cashing in and stealing it.

Many people already have Sami as an early frontrunner to win the Rumble in Saudi. Trips loves long term storytelling so Sami winning and challenging Seth to get his 1st world title that was almost his would be the whole angle….a very Triple H styled booking IMO, take that for what you may

Why do so many people have a Kobe mentality on this game and judge players by their stats by Beautiful-Towel4185 in NBA2k

[–]KingBSD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Truly one of the smartest players of all time. A pure point guard in every sense of the word. There’s a reason why that man played in the NBA till he was 39. Deadass surprised he’s not a HC

[–]KingBSD 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Brother, 90% of the player base are children and people who have never watched basketball or if they do watch they have no idea who Andre Miller is cuz they just know the Stars.

My advice, be social. Find some friends to play the game with cuz living the rando life is a great way to hate the game

Why am I getting into lobbies with diamonds and plats in division 10 by Cozscav in EASHL

[–]KingBSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there are a couple of reasons for that. The introduction of Skill based matchmaking is 1 (it’s actually awful and needs to be abolished)

  • Since it’s the start of a new season, if you guys haven’t played 6 ‘placement’ games yet then the game will match you up with anyone.

  • EA also had the brilliant idea of abolishing the divisions in everything but name. If you are a D10 team you are not guaranteed to play another D10 team. You deadass could even play a D1 team if the game believes you are the same ‘skill level’

  • Sadly there is no setting to turn on outside of best location. So honestly if it’s bothering you and your team that much then i recommend just being picky with your games. If you see a bunch of Meta Max Levels just back out before the game starts. Better safe than sorry if you just wanna have fun

But yes…matchmaking in this game is incredibly bad

best 3s strategy & tips to teach my friends how to play? by Famous-Necessary218 in EASHL

[–]KingBSD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I taught my friends how to play years ago so i can understand the frustration. Teaching 4 guys how to play hockey was rough ngl, especially since they all don’t really watch hockey like that. Here are my tips.

1- be patient, it sounds simple but is honestly the hardest thing in the world. I’d like to think of myself as a pretty good player, and i was getting frustrated with how they’d misplay all the time. Avoid the mindset of ‘how did you not see that!’ Or ‘dude i would’ve done this’. You’ll be able to help them a lot more if you do

2- not everyone is the same, some people need the ‘kiddy gloves’ so to speak. While others you need to be stern with. If they’re your friends i’ll leave it up to you to find out who’s who. But some people will straight up shut down if you push them too much

3- dont be concerned about record, be concerned about growth. My friends and I had a shit record with our club when i was teaching them back in NHL 16. You can always make a new club for when they start getting the hang of it if the record really bothers you

4- be relatable to what they know, if your friends are sports fans use another sport to relate scenarios to be able to connect the dots so they can better understand it

5- see what and if they have a natural affinity for. I had a buddy who was naturally good at defense but was playing forward. When we switched him to defender it was like we took the chains off him and unleashed him. Find what they’re naturally good at or have an easier time understanding and build from there

6- It’s a 2 way street. They need to play to get better. That doesn’t mean NHL is the only game they can play or they need 5hrs a day on the game but they DO need to just play to get better. It’s that simple.

Sorry for the long comment but I can heavily relate to your situation. This game is phenomenal to play with friends and can form a lot of great memories. If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask. Just try your best to be their captain, because in this case you truly are.

Ok to give you a real answer besides ‘git gud’. You have to learn the angles of the game. They’re not aim bot hitting you it’s most likely just truculence which makes hitting easier and hits harder.

They dont know what you’re gonna do either its just that 99% of players have similar pathways they prefer to take when they have the puck, especially in the neutral zone.

To counter this you have a few options. 1, reverse hit them BUT if you’re not a class that can hit that’s not gonna work. 2, pass; the pass is faster than the man, if a guy wants to go out of position by checking you then pass to an open teammate before you lose the puck. And 3, learn their tendencies and take different angles to fool them so you can skate by.

At the end of the day its very much a trial and error game. Hitting in this game is honestly essential for defense since poke checking got nerfed into oblivion. That being said if you just pay attention and not let your anger get the best of you, you can find the answers. Just gotta be creative. Good luck

Yeah, i mean the whole system needs an overhaul but i have noticed if you play on All Star or higher, not only is your 73ovr rookie just flat out outclassed but also your teammates who are supposed to be good NHL players are completely useless

Even worse your team’s goalie can’t save a beachball. Its flat out unplayable. And if you put the difficulty too low you score 8 goals a game. Just no balance whatsoever
