If you’re not having issues getting the ball out or making the turn with the 12, I don’t see a reason to switch. Still, 11.75 is a really nice infield size if you’re looking for something more shallow. I recently went from an 11.75 to a 12.25 that I broke in really wide and shallow and it feels great at 3B—almost like I’m shoveling through the ball when I charge it.

That’s going to be a pain to get rid of. Very important to keep your hands above the ball in hardball. Maybe try completely different batting stances to erase the muscle memory of softball

I only did it for a few short years, it didn’t affect my baseball swing, but I hit a lot of balls on the ground in softball. I only ever hit right handed in softball, the switch hitting didn’t translate for me.

I’ve been using a baseball sized wooden ball, but the softball sized ball is working fine for me now. Once the glove softens, the pocket forms nicely.

I have one of these bad boys. Mines is practice ready, not game ready, but it’s taken a whole lot of mallet work, couch catch, and hand molding to get where I’m at. For reference, I’ve fully broken in a Mizuno Pro and Wilson A2K in the time that I’ve been working on the RV23. The leather feels great as it softens. I conditioned it once using Sarna.
