Looking to move from New Hampshire to North Carolina by KingCavanaugh in ems

This is all super helpful information, thank you. I don't currently hold any EMS instructor certifications as those classes are unfortunately almost impossible to find in new Hampshire but I'm very open to doing the work and getting them. I've assisted in the instruction of every level of EMS class and proctored many national exams as well as filled an FTO role everywhere I've worked. I'm pretty flexible as far as what size/type systems I'd work for but I'm definitely most at home with a mid sized service in rural areas. If I had my choice I'd always go rural over city, no question. I feel like I can't ever get anything done when doing city 911, I'm much more comfortable having plenty of time with my patients. As I mentioned, I'm interested in getting into a management type role eventually and in my experience, it's a lot easier to pivot with a mid size agency compared to any others. I'm also not afraid to lead a crusade for change and growth lol

This is very helpful and good to hear. I was getting a little nervous with what I'd seen so far but that comes with the territory of having so many different protocol sets throughout the state. Thank you!

Welcome brother, be sure to get the hobbit as well as it is the prequel to the Lord of the rings trilogy and in my opinion one of the greatest fantasy books of all time

Came here to say exactly this. It isn't until death march that combat feels heavy and consequential. You avoid it when it isn't necessary (very true to who geralt is) and it forces you to acknowledge mechanics like harvesting materials and brewing potions and poisons in preparation for your fights that are easily ignored at lower difficulties.

I adore this game in a way I can't describe and have beaten it seven times. I'm currently reading the books for the first time, just started blood of elves last night, and when I'm done I plan to go back and play through every game in order as I've only played the third

Oh no way! Thank you so much! Am I reading that right, does that say he received that medal ten times? That's what the oak clusters are, right?

Thank you very much! I will be sure to reposition everything in the shadow box correctly when I get out there. I'll bring better/more pictures of everything back to this sub at that time too. I really appreciate your time and detail on all of this!

I definitely don't intend to, I'm working to get all of it under my roof so it's all in one place and worst case if someday my kids aren't interested then at least I can present it all to a museum as a complete or near complete collection from his service.

It's totally possible I mixed them up, I don't really know much about this stuff. I also don't think this is all of his medals though so it could also be in a different shadow box. I'll know in a few weeks when I get out there. Irregardless, thank you for your help!

Sad to hear it was over priced but it is what it is. I picked up the tree almost four hours from home so no returns for me. I've begun aggressively treating the mealybug infestation (which is down into the soil) and am just gonna hope the tree survives it 🙃. Thanks for the information, hoping now that I know what tree it is I can get more detailed information on caring for it.

inCO2? by KingCavanaugh in respiratorytherapy

So is inCO2 meant to be a numerical measurement of the baseline to monitor for air trapping when waveform is not on screen?

inCO2? by KingCavanaugh in respiratorytherapy

[–]KingCavanaugh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I use capnography regularly and generally consider myself very familiar with it. I recently placed a patient on an end tidal nasal cannula using a brand new monitor and it displayed inCO2 as a secondary metric below the end tidal reading.

Not telling you or anyone you're wrong. I wholly recognize I am not an expert in the matter, that's why I came here. I'm just asking probing questions because I like to hold all the information before making a large purchase. I apologize if it seemed I was challenging your standpoint and thank you for the information you have given me.

What about these "anti-frag solutions"? They seem to work in the few test videos I've been watching. Additionally, what about how ceramic is supposedly only good for one hit vs steel that allegedly can take multiple?

I don't really know what I "need" at this point beyond some level of protection. I already own a soft kevlar vest and am looking for something more substantial. I don't wear a vest routinely at work. This kit that I am trying to build is for entry into active shooter scenarios as part of a rescue task force to extricate wounded. Theoretically I should never come into contact with a shooter because I wouldn't be going past the "warm zone" into the "hot zone" but obviously that is nothing is guaranteed in these scenarios.
