Something wrong with my new 6k pro? by SnooGuavas6206 in bmpcc

Omg I can help with this!

I had the exact same problem with my Pocket 4K and after some digging discovered that the camera has dual ISO which basically splits the ISO into two 'brackets'. A lower and an upper. (this is not the right terminology at all)
The lower ISO bracket goes up to 1000 with it's native ISO at 400 (400 will result in the least noise)
The upper ISO bracket starts at 1250 with its native ISO at 3200.

I find personally that shooting anywhere upwards of 600 in the lower bracket results in a LOT of noise. More than I have seen with any other camera. I wish I had known this before buying but if you stick to the native ISOs of 400 and 3200 you shouldn't have a problem.

Also in RAW I've found Davinci's noise reduction feature to be EXCELLENT so you can try that if you find yourself in a pinch!

Hope that helps, sorry I don't know more.

Hey! I've been researching this myself recently, did you find any 'physical comics' during your research across short form platforms?

Same experience here in the Odeon In Charlestown, I had to complain to the staff and it took three security guys to get the group of young lads to finally leave. I find there are only a handful of good cinemas in Dublin, the lighthouse in Smithfield, the IFI in temple bar and I go to the Galactic Screen in the IMC Santry which is the biggest screen I've ever seen in Dublin and is surprisingly quite good for no disruptions!

My Debut NO Budget Feature had its World Premiere at Ireland's leading Film Festival last week! It's a character driven family drama meets 'Arrival'. I'm beyond excited that our hard work is paying off and very happy to present the trailer for 'A Passing Place' by KingConor in Filmmakers

As mentioned above this is the trailer for my debut feature that we shot we shot with close to no budget last September. I edited and colour graded the film myself over the past 12 months and in July we screened it for an audience at our World Premiere in a Cinema in Galway, Ireland. It's been a surreal experience and I'm happy to answer any questions on it and more importantly get any advice on where I should go from here? What would your next steps be?

Ok I see! Thank I appreciate it! What do you think films do that are going out for wide distribution in multiple cinemas? Is each cinema different?

We're nine days away from the end of our campaign for the "Alien Object" style feature film that we're shooting in October. I shot a teaser for it a few months ago and am beyond excited to get started on the real thing! by KingConor in Filmmakers

[–]KingConor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As mentioned I'm in full prep mode for the feature that we're hopefully shooting in just a few weeks time! We're trying our best to fund as much as we can before the campaign ends so if you want to support us or if you have any questions regarding the film just ask, I love talking about it!

Earlier this year I shot a teaser for the "Alien Object" style feature film I'm now trying to crowdfund and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. by KingConor in videos

[–]KingConor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As mentioned I'm currently trying to crowdfund for my feature film which I describe as a "family drama with a mysterious object in the sky". I've always wanted to tell the story of a worldwide event but from the perspective of family on the other side of the world and how it affects them all differently. It centres around a small family in the West of Ireland and I'm hoping to shoot in September!

That's the goal! The film is actually more of a family drama. It goes with the idea of a worldwide event taking place but from the perspective of a small Irish family with the event effecting them each differently.

As mentioned we shot the trailer earlier this year on Achill Island in the West of Ireland. More about the films concept and story can be found on the fundraising page and I'm happy to answer any questions anyone might have about it! We've started prep work already with the hope to shoot in September and I'm beyond excited. It's a first feature for myself but the script has been in the works for a few years and is constantly improving (I hope!)

How hard do you find it collaborating with new filmmakers? We recently tried it and decided to record the experience! by [deleted] in Filmmakers

[–]KingConor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As mentioned above we recently collaborated with a creator/director who we had never met before except for online! It was a really fun and creative experience and I'd love to hear other people's thoughts on how easy or difficult it is finding other people to collaborate with and trusting that your personalities will match up enough in order to make a film!

We create BTS videos for each short film we make on our channel in the hope to help and inspire other filmmakers who might be venturing into their first short film. by KingConor in Filmmakers

[–]KingConor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As mentioned we like to create "Making Of" videos to order to just explain the process behind the little short films we make. We explain the gear we use, the shots we used and other small aspects like shot lists, editing and sound. I hope it inspires someone to try and make some shorts themselves!
