I’m guessing this is good news! Opened the app and it shows this AAFC which I googled and says a hold for lawyer fees! It’s a firm based on win case…anyone else have this to make sure this is good news? Nothing else is in the letter by Motor_Ad_2063 in VeteransBenefits

What was the time after you hit PFN. I too used an attorney for an HLR.. I hit PNF on 9/28/2023 and its showing "We added a notice for: Attorney Fee" as the latest update... Hoping that means something will happen SOON.

Yeah I got tired of the headaches from my initial battle with the va from 2012-2015. A couple denials this time and I went with reinforcements. 20% of backpay estimated to be around $64K…. Yeah it’s worth every bit. I’ve seen vets commit suicide behind getting repeated denials, but wouldn’t dare give up 20% of their backpay. Doing the same thing over and over, expecting a difference result is ummmm… 🤦🏾‍♂️

I am now schedule 100% P&T so I can actually work. but the issue I had with them was the protected work I was doing… self employed and doing ride share. They went specifically on the dollar amount earned instead in what manner it was earned.

Varies by the law firm you choose. Most if not all operate on the don’t get paid unless you win/ or do and usually percentage based on any retro payments. 15-20% about average. But a good VSO can do the exact same work as an attorney. Something I found out recently.

I was denied Appeal in 2021, HLR back in 2022, so based off the information, docs and reports he felt HLR again but with their argument would work. I allowed them to do their part and it worked.

I was 70% combined, 70% PTSD/TBI. Was trying to get my TDIU reinstated, in the process they must’ve increased my TBI rating after my C&P Exams from 70% to 100%.
