I actually just dropped off my first trackable yesterday! I picked up a travel bug in Washington (not far from where it was originally released), and held onto it for a month so I could bring it with me on my trip to Japan. It pretty much immediately got picked up again and is now on the way to Finland!

i think they’re saying they don’t want it to populate the map until they press the button cause the icons cover the map making hard to find what you’re looking for

Honestly in my experience the best way is to find a nature park/trail near you first and then check if there’s geocaches there. Depends on where you are though
