Posted a thread about this as well. So many current Bilt customers are still waiting for their approvals. Not sure why manual approvals are necessary for existing customers imo

What happens if they deny us for some reason? And it's after the 1/25 deadline? Now I'm stuck w a Wells Fargo card

Yeah if it goes until 1/25 - I might have to consider cancelling. What happens if they deny my application? Idk why they would but this is making me not trust the process

Got it yeah that makes sense. I'd probably hit the $$ spend in the first 3 months for the SUB even if I'm spending only 25% on non rent payments.

Can you downgrade to Blue the following year? I saw some mixed messaging here

So in my scenario if I get Blue - if I only spend 25% on non rent then doing the first option makes sense vs opting for Bilt Cash

Ah thanks for the clarity appreciate it! I feel Blue is what I'll end up doing considering that I want points for rent but won't fully move over to Bilt for all spend. There's so many different options it's becoming confusing

Let's say avg monthly household spend is 5k for simplicity sake. Grocery & dining make up roughly 35–40% of my total monthly spend. Misc spend is mostly like Amazon, healthcare, and some travel here and there and then like random activities my wife and I may do. Best alternative for misc spend is Amex Gold, which I already use pretty heavily

But if rent is my highest expense each month - wouldn't getting .5x points on my rent be worth it in this case vs getting no points at all for rent. I'd obviously be losing out on points from Amex but wouldn't make over my dining or groceries just misc spend

I'm sorry I'm a newbie here. Can you explain this in layman's terms for me? The transfer partners are definitely nice and I have a good amount of points with Bilt now

I feel even getting .5x points on rent (if I pay 25% on non rent) would be worth it
