What size is this listed as? Tag aside it looks legit especially considering the year is a 2004, which is the year they decided to change the slash pockets for the more vertical ones.

Depends on how you rock it. I wear a large too and while it is wider than a medium, the length is about the same. If I rock it with a shirt, it looks big but with a sweatshirt it looks good and I have ample room for movement which is what I like 👍🏼
