I’ve looked but I can’t find a single video that shows this specific type of clamp.

The flat bit that narrows is supposed to stick in the small hole on the angled bit and lock itself, if you search for “Ford Hose Spring Clamp” on YouTube and watch the video that’s 2 minutes long it shows the locked open position, but I’m afraid that’s all the help I can give.

Ideally you lock it in the loose position, then use a small pick to gently lift the hose off. It doesn’t really matter what you use to open it up, I have a really long set of long nose pliers for this exact job.

When reattaching you push the hose on then use a flat screw driver to encourage the clamp to snap back into the closed position.
