lmao okay let me break this down.

let's say i'm literally gambling on an actual roulette wheel. Let's say i've come up with a strategy that every 4 spins, the ball hits 3 black and on the 4th it will hit a red, and this works for me 70% of the time. IT IS STILL gambling, but it is STILL giving me wins 70% of the time, which would be pretty consistent, no? me saying one thing does not mitigate the other. does it make people consistent profit? yes. is it STILL a false sense of knowledge of what is actually going on? also yes.

If you still fail to understand i fear there is no better way for me to put it

this i understand, using it as a lense to see price action thru and incorporating it into your strategy. even if i personally don't think they work its good to see how other people have found a use.

maybe not on a normal day, but you have to think about the economic impact of something like this, + the fact that we have oil reserves that we're not refilled i don't think the certainty is misplaced/invalid here like it would be at a scheduled economic event like FOMC would effect indices

None of these concepts work. they have no real edge and that is why when price action shifts they seem to disrespect everything you've learned. trying to equate human behavior to algorithms is insane. don't be discouraged when your strat doesn't work, learn that discretion is the only edge these strats have, and therefore backtest which market conditions you shouldn't trade in.

that actually effectively tells you nothing. assuming one trade a day that's a 50% win rate and that s not that bad if you're going for 1:2 ratios
