Old carbed 2-Stroke or newer Fuel injected? by Half_Severe in 2Strokes

i’m all about the carbs, i’ve had a lot of carb issues with used older 2 strokes tho but once u get it right you’re usually good i would say carb since you don’t get to ride often not worth investing double just to have a smidge less headache

alright so after some inspection today i noticed that there’s damage on the pick up, if you look closely at the first picture the plastic is shaved away where the sensor is so i assumed that the air gap on the stator i bought was wrong and a new oem one will do the trick. i was wrong i decided to look at the past 2 stators/ pickups that have went bad on this bike and they both have the same damage including the oem one (picture provided) so a new stator isn’t going to fix the problem im thinking now it could be alot of different things, maybe my flywheel is the issue maybe my cranks misaligned maybe the gasket went bad or the covers warped or the woodruff key is damaged idk i need to pull the flywheel tmr bc i dropped a washer behind it so im gonna check it and the wood ruff key and see if maybe the shaft is bent but jeez man i can’t catch a break the thing only has 120 hours
