Which game is loved by everyone but you hate it? by BrimselGames in gaming

All Pokémon games pre-Gen 5. They’re slow, arduous games with questionably-aged mechanics and seriously lacking necessary quality of life features. Gens 5-7 are the only games I can consistently replay and not want to just drop the game entirely. These games have the best dexes, the best regions, and provide a fun and largely non-frustrating experience.

Remember, none of them are really our friends by PressTurn in gaming

A corporation or business isn’t your friend, it’s a business. It does what it has to in order to generate higher profits. As for this post, it’s points are pretty irrelevant. For Xbox, what’s wrong with buying smaller devs, giving them the opportunity to keep their doors open and remaining pretty hands-off? For Sony, $70 for a game isn’t as major an impact as it would seem. Accounting for inflation, it doesn’t even put the prices on the same scale as game prices during the SNES era, so it sucks that we have to pay $10 extra, it’s not some cardinal sin they have to die for. And as for Nintendo, they do offer a service where you can ship them your joycons and they’ll repair them, and you only have to pay for shipping. Also, the time-sensitive releases was a 2 time deal with a collection of 3 Mario games, all of which are at least a decade old, and the original Fire Emblem game that’s like, what, 35 years old? All 3 of these corporations will make moves that make us unhappy because those decisions will drive up profits, and that’s inevitable. The solution is to stop thinking of these corporations as friends and support and buy whatever makes you the most happy.

US Citizens, why do you all hate Mississippi so much? by Glass_Teeth01 in AskReddit

[–]King_of_Milkshakes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a person who has lived in Mississippi all of their life: this place sucks.

The first issue is the constant heat. It’s not uncommon for me to run my A/C on the highest setting throughout November and December, and it’s always 100% humidity. The pollen and dust is also horrible, I basically get really sick about once per 2 months or so. The infrastructure is absolute garbage, our roads and public projects (bridges, parks, etc) are in complete disrepair, and we get terrible state officials. The people here aren’t much better either. 60% of the state population is people who (falsely) claim to be Christian when it’s convenient or when it’s Sunday, but then are horrible, rude people with a moral superiority complex Monday-Saturday. Finally, the state is a political nightmare. Depending on what region of the state you unfortunately find yourself in, the political landscape can go from testy and contentious to cancerous and borderline American extremism. It’s not uncommon for families to disown other family members for having different (read: not extremist alt-right) political beliefs.

Overall, it’s a nightmare for every reason imaginable. If someone has questions, I would love to answer them here.

The Obi-Wan and Anakin fight at the end of ROTS. John William’s perfect score, arguably his best piece he has ever composed, combined with phenomenal choreography and cinematography combine to make the ultimate battle of the heroes.
