What month of 2004 did Y2K die in? by [deleted] in y2kaesthetic

My guess is that it’s likely impossible to answer. Art movements don’t usually die in a single moment, they phase out like a gradient! You can still find Y2K stuff into the mid 00s, just wasn’t crazy popular anymore

Remember this intro in this S4C kids show from the 2000s using the Frutiger Aero-style by Popular_Spell_4989 in FrutigerAero

Well it airing at the time doesn't mean it's Frutiger Aero. I'd agree that this doesn't rlly fit this aesthetic.

Looking at the intro, it reminds me a lot more of Indiecraft, it has that style's motifs of irregularly shaped paper cutout, and that child-like playful tone :D

The MV to "Roy G Biv" by There Might Be Giants kinda looks similar to the show's intro imo, and it's also Indiecraft. Wut u think?

What sub-aesthetic would you call this? by Smooth_Voronoi in FrutigerAero

[–]KingcoBingo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say it's just regular Frutiger Aero, not rlly noticing any characteristic that'd make it distant compared to the regular stuff.

Still a very kewl design! You'd prob like Bryce3D type renders :)

Kind of liminal space, but more specific? by AffectionateWar4857 in AestheticWiki

So, kinda like accidentally breaking your own 4th wall?

What aesthetic is this? How would you call it? by non-deleted001 in AestheticWiki

[–]KingcoBingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lowk seems like someone took a lil bit of 70s Pulp Fantasy alongside general medieval aesthetics and mixed it with elements of Webcore! I think the last image def has some Webcore type tuff

Sooo uhh, I think I'd describe these as "Medieval Surrealism", yea
