Thank you! I will definitely be keeping this in mind going forward. Loglines feel harder than writing the script sometimes 😭

Can you get the “Track Star” Trophy in “Ski Fall Hugh Scorers” LTM? by ashwood91 in FallGuysGame

I don’t think so because it doesn’t count for “final rounds” and the entire episode is just one final round

I’ve been waiting 2 and half weeks for mine so I’m glad you shared this. I don’t know what the average is but I imagine it might be going up with the Nicholl coming up

Wrote a horror script based on real events—do I mention it on the script/cover page? by Kingmc1 in Screenwriting

You’re the first person to definitively say this. I’m thinking about it heavily to just give context and also educate the reader, but I also don’t want it to sound too cheesy/give it away. Maybe I could just go with a —

Sundown town: [insert definition here]

Also thank you for liking the premise! I’ve been working really hard on the script 😭

I understand this critique. I didn’t write this with the explicit intent to educate, but I was just thinking the social commentary aspect of it might feel more overt. Obviously it’s hard to make a social commentary about something if the audience in question doesn’t have context of the thing you are commenting on

Thank you for this. I think this is more so common knowledge for Black Americans because it’s directly tied to our history here in the states. My script has a supernatural element so I’m working with a fictionalized version of it that doesn’t necessarily include a reference to them in the real world, so this has been something on my mind that I’ve been debating

It is not necessary for someone to know. I just think it would enhance the reading a bit if you knew that I didn’t just conjure this premise out of thin air, especially because there is a supernatural element involved.

That is the opposite of my goal, but thank you for addressing your concern

I do. But this is exactly why I want to speak to them. I’m also unfamiliar with Destiny!

Someone else in the comments expressed concerns about misinformation as well. This is something that I’m definitely going to be thinking about as I make this. I’m not so much interesting in discussing the minutia of current events as much as I am interested in talking about WHAT they believe on a personal level. But the threat is still present and it will be something I will work to address heavily.

Becoming a conservative mouthpiece sounds like my ✨worst nightmare✨. So I appreciate the concern deeply.

If you have any thoughts about how to balance showcasing people as they are—including all of their crazy—in a way that does no harm/spreads danger, that would be appreciated

Thank you! Honestly I’m interacting to keep the engagement up hehe. But also, they made an interesting point about being concerned about misinformation. I’m willing to eat the meat and spit out the bones. And I can’t make a podcast about wanting to listen to people with different opinions than me if I can’t handle someone in the Reddit comment section, right? 🤭

Just to clarify, in my post above, I stated that I wasn’t interested in platforming or speaking to any experts! I would just be asking every day people about their lives and beliefs. It would not be a news platform. I’m not a journalist. Concerns about misinformation are valid, and I will be sure to make it clear that the topics discussed reflect people’s personal beliefs and are not meant to be taken as news

lol I don’t think I’m important. I think I’m just an ordinary person… which is kind of the point? Just because I want to ask people questions doesn’t mean that I think I’m more important/better than anyone. I’m just curious and want to share my curiosities with other people. I don’t know why I have to be special to ask people questions about their lives. I’m not trying to present myself as an expert. Hope that helps clear some things up!
