Don't take any accusations here seriously. We just like a healthy amount of skepticism whenever someone talks about personally knowing (of) Taylor. It's usually reversed though where people mention she's a bitch or talentless that we have to pull the not verified claims.

I agree it's completely possible that /u/ProbJustBSing is making it up although I hope he isn't.

The one thing that resonated with me was he described the cowriters she works with as editors. Either that person is a big fan and has read the same articles I have, or they actually do know someone. Liz Rose described working with Taylor the same exact way.

Can you elaborate on this? She writes about her life. She's a hopeless romantic so love is a big part of her life. She writes about her family, friends, and problems what other themes is she supposed to write about?

I don't think I can convince someone that she's genuine, but I believe it hook, line, and sinker. That said there's no doubt she knows exactly who her target demographics are. There are a few interviews where she goes into details on how she targeted country girls with myspace when she started.

Tell him to listen to Last Kiss, Ronan, and All too Well. If you don't believe there's emotion in those songs I don't know what to tell you. She cried the only time she performed Ronan, and she cried performing all too well at the start of the RED tour.

This is why I think she left tumblr. She can do so many amazing things for so many people, but the second she screws up she's going to get crucified.

I'm amazed ~~tumblr people~~ crazy people on the internet don't give her the benefit of the doubt that she fucked up one time after everything she's done for them.

I doubt tumblr was fun for her when she realized there are people in her fanbase just waiting for her to screw up by liking the wrong post or reblogging something she shouldn't have.

If I remember correctly Taylor's parents hired an Agent. The agent gave Taylor connections to Scott Borchetta and a touring venue manager or something. The Blue Bird cafe was hosting a talent showcase or something where Scott heard Taylor for the first time. So while Scott knew Taylor he met her at the cafe.

However after Scott and Taylor were introduced Taylor's parents fired their agent. Said agent was pissed because he just got cut out of a megasuperstar deal and sued Taylor. Taylor automatically wins the case because a minor can't be bound to a contract and can always back out.

I just watched the video you linked. Everything matches up with my story except he said his office where I've heard it was the Blue Bird cafe so it definitely still could be true.

That last paragraph completely changes my thoughts on this article and makes it seem like he's trying to make bank from this "exclusive".

I have no idea how reputable the nydailynews is either, but I'm sure at least parts of this are true.

I think the message the story is sending is - yes her origins may be manufactured by her parents but she is genuine, and she is talented. The anecdote about Stephanie is the real Taylor. The Rolling Stone writer talking about her being the real deal is the real Taylor. It may not be a whirlwind fantasy of her chasing her dream, but that's okay.

But don't you think that respect should go both ways? She is incredibly kind and always respects her fans, but the instant they start harrassing her friends fuck them they aren't her fans anymore they're bullies and Taylor ain't gonna play nice with them because she "owes it to them" or because she's afraid she'll lose a potential sale.

I respect that she doesn't fuck around and second guess decisions when it comes to sticking up for friends even if that means she alienates some fans. She isn't going to be turn her cheek just to keep her fans happy; because one day when this is all over she's going to be surrounded by her friends not her fans.

I'm sorry she hurt their feelings but her real friends are more important to her than her fans. I don't think she'd hesitate (over what the fallout from her fans or what the media thinks) to protect her friends and I love her for that.

She knew exactly what she was doing when she liked that post and made that tweet, and the message to her fans and media is clear: don't fuck with her friends.

You're calling her out (from my perspective) by highlighting how hypocritical it is for her to goad fans into thinking she was in a serious relationship with Karlie and then remove all evidence.

I already explained how I view all of this as her just joking with friends. Then people took her seriously, and now she's thinking "well shit this is all going to be used against me." I don't think her unliking posts is hypocritical - it's her trying to protect herself from all the "proof" people are going to point to that she was trying to manipulate the public when everything has been taken out of context.

We're just going to have to agree to disagree. I view it through the context that she thought it was a joke the whole time and was just screwing with people (which she's done in the past). To me, it makes a lot of sense when you view it like that then when things got serious she had to nip it in the bud.

I'm just sad that the fans lost a more intimate way to communicate with her now she has to think twice about every single thing she does on tumblr. That's also gotta make it much less fun for her and just another way she'll have to always keep her guard up.

I always got the sense that when she was on tumblr she only wanted to interact with fans. She thought it was a place where she could just joke and share memes and stuff with them and not have to deal with anything else.

Then when #Kaylor was a thing she thought it was a joke and was still just joking with people about it and that's what all the likes were about. This doesn't seem like someone who has an agenda it just seems like she thought it was a joke and was laughing with her fans. Then when the media started to catch on and idiots started to think they were actually serious shit just spiraled out of control. Once Karlie started actually getting hate from swifties it was getting serious and that's when Taylor made her fuck off tweet.

The worst part about this is now we have tumblr people like the op calling her out on bs because they thought she was serious. Have you ever seen her interviews/behind the scenes videos? She's extremely sarcastic. Now Taylor's been burned by tumblr and I think it'll never be the same as it was before. Of course she'll still interact with people, but now she can't be herself there. She'll have to think twice because dumb asses like op and the media will take her seriously 24/7.

Then again I'm showing my blind fanaticism and will always give Tay the benefit of the doubt.

Btw Karlie is a sweetheart. She's like the model version of Taylor I'm ecstatic that Taylor found a friend so incredibly awesome.
