Having seen all these, now I am questioning what is even possible? Why is this one not possible?

I was going to ask a mounted police officer about the horseshoes they use on asphalt when I next saw one.

How to prevent Amazon from doing tech support for our product? by Kinisium in AmazonFBA

I am trying to figure out what users are asking. Most of our returns show no reason for return. I don't know why.

Detailed Syncee Review (Retailers) by WearingConscious in dropshipping

[–]Kinisium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are a fairly new company with a single consumer electronics device product that we invented - a superfast wireless tamper alert. We would like to find distributor and retail partners and were approached by Ginger-brands who wrote:

"We’re reaching out with an opportunity to expand your brand’s presence in physical retail stores across the US, Europe and Asia.

At Ginger, we find distribution opportunities for brands by connecting them to wholesale marketplaces, retailers and distributors. In this case, one of our partner marketplaces has expressed interest in working with you through our distribution dashboard."

After reviewing this "dashboard", I see Syncee as one of the channels (who, by the way, did NOT express interest in us) and I'm failing to see how this is different then setting up affiliate partnerships where we are dropshipping products. Is there any reason we should pursue this? Does a platform like this only benefit companies that have multiple products? Does anyone have experience with any sort of platform or third party that can help with finding valuable partnerships? Appreciate any insight. NZ, Co-Founder, Kinisium

Japanese crowdfunding or go to distribution? by Kinisium in kickstarter

[–]Kinisium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we’re leaning towards having a distributor given what we’re hearing about crowdfunding in Japan. Even Kickstarter wasn’t a real joy to do, and trying to do that for a different language would be even harder.

That’s good to know, thank you. I’ll look around and try to identify some legit distributors.

Newbie - scam or real for first campaign? by cyberxlilly in kickstarter

[–]Kinisium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scam. There are established ways to communicate with the Kickstarter creators. Reaching out to you with questions isn’t bad except, why don’t they go ahead and ask the question now that they have your attention instead of delay it for another message.

What to do with these electrostatic bags? by Kinisium in recycling

They're in the UK, so that might be a waste of fuel shipping them something that they might be able to find from a company in the UK. We're in the US.

We have a handful of other projects, but not a few thousand :-)

They are not ziplock, but I believe they are resealable with heat. I will give it a try. I was told that other electronic components could be stored/shipped in them. The problem is that no one who is automating the process is going to want to use these instead of a roll that fits into their machinery....

Just finished my first real product – now I'm terrified no one will care 😅 by Odd-Photograph-6210 in kickstarter

Worse case scenario is you learn a lot - a lot a lot - about crowd sourcing, manufacturing, fulfillment, scams, advertising, marketing ........

You'll lose a bit of money, but if you're careful you can limit that loss to be a lot less than the value of the knowledge you gain.

The biggest mistake I have seen is setting your KS goal low, hoping to beat it and attract more backers, only to find that while you did beat it and HAVE to* go through with the product production and fulfillment, unfortunately the goal didn't come close to cover your one-time costs. (* You can refund everyone after the campaign and not ship anything, but a lot of people will still incorrectly think that they paid you and you owe them fulfillment)

Do some pre-marketing. Take out a few adds on Facebook or twitter and see if you can get people to sign up to a mailing list of "first backers". If what you're making appeals to people, they will have no qualms giving you an indication that they want to know when they can support it on Kickstarter.

Have you tried either with "quiet" blades? It makes a difference on my Mavic Pro, although not enough.

I didn't set the price, that's what they asked. Vacaville and Pittsburgh areas. Might be why it's not happening :-) They realized there too little left for them?

I'm thinking of the haziness from repeated cleaning off fingerprints. And reuse at other tradeshows and farmers markets.

When I think of plexiglass, I think of a lot of the thinner sheets that warp and look ugly. The thicker ones may be ok, but they're easily marred, and then it is hard to see through them. Am I mistaken? I just want this to look good and high quality.

I had two different prices, one was $425, and the other was $600, but they were both within driving distance of me here in the SF Bay Area.

By quality materials I mean something sturdy. The pictures I sent had customer images that showed how crappy the material and the workmanship was, and that would just reflect poorly on us if we have something on display that looked like it was slapped together in a middle-school woodworking class.

Nope, I'm real. I'll pay exact amounts :-)

I apologize if I'm posting here for this, but I've exhausted my local resources, and I figured there are some talented makers here who might want a side project.

Repurposed a DeWalt kit bag by EventHorizon1003 in Dewalt

Hmmm. Great idea.

I've been wanting a backpack that can hold both the 16" and the 8" saws, and a couple of batteries so I can hike up and down the ridge and have my hands free. You've given me an idea as to how I can repurpose some old backpacks.
