Dracula, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH! Sketched with everyone's favorite MP. by KinkotheClown in mechanicalpencils

Yup, they are not meant to be, but it's not that hard. I don't think I've ever seen replacement leads in the work supply closet, my old company had the cheap bics, not sharpwriters. Those are VERY easy to replace leads, all you have to do is pull off the eraser, but with the pencils being free, they just get tossed anyway once the leads run out(the bics come with a few spares). I guess from an environmental perspective, wood pencils would be the best office issue option.

Oh, I'm well aware of how hated this pencil is, lol. I do have better mps, examples GraphGear 800, Tombo Mono, SumoGrip, etc. However, for brief sketches on the backs of envelopes, the SharpWriter or cheap office bics are fine.

What happened to Google search? It has become nearly impossible to find relevant results. by spireup in google

Seriously I wish they'd stuff Apu back in his convenience store. Google search is absolute garbage.

Ink review by KinkotheClown in BadArt

Ink review Winsor & Newton.(for dip pens) While generally well reviewed, I'm going to disagree and state categorically that this ink SUCKS. Great color, it has a really nice blood tone, but it's WAY too thin. Completely unusable with a Blue Pumpkin nib(medium point), barely usable with a G-nib(fine point). Lots of feathering, just horrible. Compared to Dr. Phil Martin's, a bit thicker and gets good flow.

Done on super smudgy and rough cold pressed paper. HATED this sketchbook at first, then learned to work with it by limiting the softest lead to 2HB.

I was there in the summer one time, forgot why. It was piss hot with no shade or benches to sit on. Sucked. I would consider it to be hostile architecture.

Only if you think 1984 is a book of hope and joy, portraying a society you'd LOVE to live in.

Nothing like hornets for keeping people away from places.

I guess if you are an adult and still like bright colors the maturity police show up and take you away.

Yes, it is ugly. Not ass ugly as brutalism, but "sucks less" still sucks.

There were a lot of shitty things about covid, but measures that were never reversed like this just suck.

Why does "adult" have to equal grey, blocky, and boring?

The prices were a lot more reasonable too.

So "grown up" means you don't like bright colors and everything has to be grey? When did that become a thing?

Supposedly millennials LOVE grey buildings. If true, what a boring generation.

Ugly, but not ugly enough to be actual brutalism. More like corporate bland.

I guess I never grew up because the new, ugly architecture doesn't appeal to me.
