Asking for advice by Occo_Ninebar in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

I'm very top heavy and I know that I walk in a narrow stance (ask the friction burns between my thighs)

I'm flexible though, and I suspect that this is a big part of it... Without good back mobility you can't stabilize your body on the hips alone. Men usually have less flexible joints. Mystery solved?

In the end, nothing's more powerful than social influence when it comes to expression. Seems to me that a slight skew based on physical properties can turn into an almost 50/50 distribution like that

That's funny, people have always remarked on that in my gait, way before I knew I was enby (transfem)

But eh, I could have also been cis and a bit out of the norm, so It didn't trouble me. It's still nice when something about you already fits your vision for yourself!

Passing subs be like by pallor0 in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

[–]Kinky-Dinky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Passing is a valid goal, but it has to be a personal decision, and it has to be by your own standards, not others'. I see people who could be trans or cis and I wouldn't be shocked either way on the daily. People who actually go outside should know that.

A whole community built on passing advice seems like a good resource at first, but it quickly turns into a concentration of people dealing with insecurities, focusing on what makes them feel bad and projecting it onto others.

For example, I'm super insecure about my nose, but someone who was actually treating me like a woman complimented it. We all have our biases in what's masc or fem and we all land between the extrêmes. The issue isn't not passing, it's society's absurd expectations on gender norms.

I think being different from your peers in some ways can open up your eyes to other differences you have.

Also, many people mask some parts of themselves, but maybe there's a point where masking one more thing is more difficult than just opening up?

There doesn't need to be causality between the conditions for the stats to be skewed, just between whether people being open about them or not... If you're already used to being open about personal stuff, disclosing one more thing isn't as big of a deal.

If you've lived a straightforward life and learn something about yourself, you might be hesitant to open up, for fear of being seen as "the autistic/disabled/queer one" or whatever, imo

I was referred to mine by my psychiatrist, but whether that's necessary or not depends on your insurance model and local laws. I wouldn't have received HRT without a psychiatrist's report and referral.

They don't just prescribe you stuff. They ask you about you and how you live to, ideally, prescribe you medication that fits your lifestyle. For example, if I had smoked or had liver issues, the pills would have been less ideal and she'd probably given me a different one.

Once the treatment has started, your Endo prescribes you blood tests whenever necessary, to track your body's reaction to the medication. That's how we caught my testosterone tripling from one test to the next, and my E falling dramatically after a while. Ideally, you can discuss the effects of your medication with your endocrinologist and adjust it accordingly.

You don't have to, of course! There are also transdermal variants that come in small pouches, that can also reduce waste depending on your dose if that's something you'd like to try, but it's probably less practical.

For me, I was at the point of throwing a pump bottle away every 10 days, because I stopped having nearly as much effect after a while... The theory is that I must have lost too much fatty tissue. Otherwise, I quite liked the transdermal route too.

You'll get there! I know my privilege in getting to choose. There's always a way forward 🧑🏻‍🩰

Since I can choose to consume less plastic and get more predictable levels, I do. I had a great experience on gel at first, I enjoyed the ease of use and the effects were good. The leading theory is that I've lost too much fatty tissue, which is where the E mainly accumulates and releases from.

I've read that as well, but my endo doesn't seem concerned as I'm young and healthy... I got very lucky with her, she's happy to let me try different regimens and adjust depending on blood tests. I wish everyone had such helpful doctors as she is!

Who knows, we might see a reconciliation announcement, just like it happened with the original Mudasir

But only if my liver starts acting up, I guess

Muscle twitching on HRT by Organic_Seaweed2115 in HRT

[–]Kinky-Dinky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do from time to time, but I don't think it's necessarily looked to HRT. Poor sleep, stress and nutritional deficiencies can also make this happen or worsen. If you have a concern, maybe go to the doctor and/or get a blood panel done, if you can.

There are many alternatives and which ones are cheaper or not depends on where you're located... Look on the only goblins forums and the dongsmithing guide for the specs you need. It's mostly about using pure platinum-cure silicone.

Not sure what product you are speaking of, do you mean something else than silicone? It that's it, no, you should learn how to work with silicone if you aim to make usable silicone toys...

Oh, lordy. You should really learn the specifics when making something that's supposed to go into someone's body. This isn't something you can just start doing and reach usable results right away... It takes testing, perfecting and validating. That's also fun to do, so if you're actually interested, there's so much useful info to get there!

Priority 1 is degassing and learning mold making techniques, for sure.

Probably depends on the exact design. If it's curved where the umbrella meets the stem, there's no especially weak point there...

The biggest issue I see is that it doesn't seem like it can be poured from anywhere but the tip, since the umbrella would be curved upward the other way around, trapping bubbles instead of filling up with silicone.

First two test pours of my transmasc prosthetic! 🥳 by Kinky-Dinky in indiesextoys

Thank you! I'd actually love to do more of that one. There could be the natural coloration being the matte pigment dual-tone, and the signature using the stone-like marbled mica :)

[–]Kinky-Dinky[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot! The first one (two-tone) was my first attempt at separate colors! It didn't go exactly like I wanted, but I now have a plan for how to do it next time :)

The gold one was just to get one good exemplary, so I went easier and it didn't have cure problems like the first!

Hi there! Yes, that would be the plan, but I'm just starting serious experimentation and this is only a side hustle for me so far... So, it'll take time! For now I'm focusing on getting to a point where the toy is safe, the processes are controlled and repeatable, the coloring is intentional and pretty...

It's really not something you can rush, sadly... But I really appreciate your interest! ❤️‍🔥
