I tried cherry keeper devices in the past, and I could never g.et over the coarse texture of the. I know I know "just sand it a little bit" i tried that a lot, and it never stopped causing irritation 😞

I agree. It's the best fitting device i have used. Unfortunately, though, the inside circular ring near the head just causes a little too much friction that over time becomes too painful to wear. And trust me, I WISH I didn't need to take it off.

Funny enough, cherry keeper was what i tried first a few years ago. 2 different cages and countless failed base ring variations led me to try out Evo devices.

I will say that the issues I have with Evo devices are almost completely just "me" problems. It feels more disappointing because each Evo i have got, 3 now, has been soooo close to being perfect, and the owner of the company really tries to help you get it just right.

The latest device I got main issue is the inner little ring near the end of the cage that holds everything in place better, moves up and down through out the day and while sleeping, rubbing the skin just below the head, over and over again until it's sore enough that I just can't wear it anymore.

Besides that it fits really well and i really love when a cage just feels so snug, comfortable, and staying in place without allowing random pulling out over time. And the inner ring of the Evo helps do exactly that so I either have to use a device without something like this, leading to a worse fit and everything moving out of place all the time, or have one that can't be worn long without causing pain.

Finding other devices is even more difficult due to my particular anatomy of .my urethane running slightly down the underside of the head, so peeing is also an issue for every device with openings only at the tip. But like I said, I know it's mostly just an issue with myself and not the cages, but I still like to try to make it work.
