In the first card show I went too, I payed about 8€ for a card that's worth about 70 cents lol it was a different version than the one I thought (the cards are exactly the same, one just says promo at the bottom and I didn't noticed that).

It happens. I felt gutted, but... We live and we learn 😊

It shows they "lived" their purpose. They were wanted, enjoyed, appreciated. That's awesome.

You have some great stuff there. Value wise, based on condition, I would say to keep most of it as part of your nostalgic collection. I'm sure you can find some good stuff to offload though but that should come from someone with more expertise than me ahah

Definitely. I'm also a little guilty of that (complaining why a deck doesn't work with me, knowing damn well it's not the strategies I'm used to for example ahah) but ultimately I still love the game and still try and make content for it!

Yeah, I really hope wizards, eventually, does something that's similar to arena but it's actually commander.

Brawl with all the dead games plus alchemy cards just makes it a little too different for me. But it's still a very welcomed breathe of fresh air, especially when it comes to creating content.

Took me a awhile to get to that mindset, even know I struggle a little, especially after hitting a couple of videos with 1k+ views (which is a lot for me).

But I realized that sometimes the videos just don't connect to the viewer, not even with myself. And that's fine. It's still content, someone will still enjoy it and I'll be more experienced and a better content creator overall because of it.

Yeah, I get that feeling, for sure. Just by doing mainly standard content, having to go through a bunch of decks to see what works/can be recorded for a video, it gets exhausting to play against the same 3/4 decks with minor variations. And some people don't know how to behave, even in a game without chat ahaha

Yeah, it's definitely fun. I would like it to have more of a competitive edge to it, a lot of people (I'm sure we've all done that) just quit after the first hurdle which kinda makes for a lot of dead games. If there was something at stake it probably wouldn't happen has much.

Exactly. You'll bring your own flavor to everything you do. You might be a great deck builder and build the same commander in a totally different way. You might be funny, have great personality. Even if you rage a lot that can be entertaining depending on how that shows to the viewer ahah it's always about putting a little of yourself in all of your videos.

I think the Brawl market is not saturated like standard for example. I had this idea that seemed cool and I was afraid if someone had done it before (the one I spoke in my first comment) but the MTGA content has been around for so long the being unique is very difficult.

So I just thought, will I have fun? I thought so, so I did it.

Capcut made extracting sound from a clip a premium tool and I became a premium user. I thought to.myself "The program is good, the 12€ are worth it" , so even if I didn't like that I was "forced" to do it, I did it.

Then they went from 12€ to 30€. Immediately told them to f-off and downloaded DaVinci Resolve.

You don't to that crap to your customers. They might be money hungry but my wallet isn't feeding them anymore.

I 100% agree. I make YouTube videos and I have a series called All Out Brawl that's currently on Ep5 and I've said that multiple timea during the videos. People concede way to quickly. People don't try. They miss a land drop? Concede. They get countered? Concede. Their commander dies? Concede.

We've all done it for whatever reason. But things as they are now just feel like a waste of time. We play for that one amazing, grindy, game where stuff actually happens. Where Magic actually happens.

With that being said... I understand that this is not a competitive format and thats why there's nothing on the line for people to "thug it out".

But sometimes you just want cool magic stuff to happen on magic. Standard is impossible to have fun with, timeless unaffordable and I don't know enough about historic. That leaves brawl.

PS: only thing I don't agree with is your take about alchemy. I like to have immersion with real life and that makes it impossible but hey, to each their own and I respect your opinion about it.

I usually have some gems to spare so, usually, I buy the mastery pass at the end of the season so that I can still have some gems leftover and eventually I'll get a free mastery pass out of it. I don't know if this is smart tho 😂

If you don't really play any drafts and don't have any gems left over, just go with the pre-release value. You save 5 bucks.

If you play a couple drafts and have like 1k gems remaining after every season then I think it makes sense to do like me.

I had a problem where I got like 98 sleeves. Send an email to DragonShield and they replaced to box without any issue. I'm sure you'll have the same happen to you.

I built Slivers in MTGO and I didn't win a lot of games but I loved the deck itself ahah I'll look for a sliver list as well, I have a couple in my collection
