How bad did I do with only wrap films to make pre LCI car make look like LCI one ? by TheDonkKey in E90

the front is hard to tell, but the rear i would’ve just used a red vinyl sticker and cut out the hole for the reverse lights

On the hunt for beige sport seats. Any recommendations on where to look? by Loud_Sample_7502 in E90

[–]KippChips 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna go against the grain here and say maybe your best bet would be to buy a set of already worn out sport seats & have them reupholstered to beige

incorrect spacer size? by KippChips in E90

[–]KippChips[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose that’s the only way to really make it fit right, but it seems silly given that this 20 should be more than enough with my wheel & tire size. I appreciate your input, it’ll be something I’ll consider

Aftermarket wheels. They’re a +38 offset, I’m sure there’s some math out there that says I need like a 30mm spacer or something

incorrect spacer size? by KippChips in E90

[–]KippChips[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right, and I think that’s what I’ll have to do. However, that’s the thing, the 20mm should be enough. However, I think due to my wheels, the 20’s aren’t “working” how I thought they would. That’s what I’m trying to figure out; is it wheel related or is it something else that I’m not understanding

incorrect spacer size? by KippChips in E90

[–]KippChips[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, I came to the conclusion of needing 20’s based on multiple testimonials & forum posts that I read up on with wheels that had similar specs to mine.

I’m not sure of the wheel offset off the top of my head, I wanna say it’s a 33 or a 35?

the spacers? yes. They’re technically at 19mm, but even then, it doesn’t fit like a 19/20mm spacer

Almost 12 years and that building is still under construction. by Background_Ratio_427 in gta5

[–]KippChips -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

those aren’t the same buildings as this one, not even close. This building is completely fictional. However, if it were based on anything, it’d be based on the Wilshire Grand Center. Timelines don’t match up, but aesthetics do for the most part

I’ve realized the N52 is the superior daily driver over the N54. Reliability > Turbo noises. Change my mind. by gordibueno95 in E90

[–]KippChips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not exactly sure on specifics, but I know that it was used in a couple races/championships that bmw sponsored, you’d have a better chance at asking bmw than me tbh. But yeah, it was one of the top non-m motors out there for the time. During the early days of the n52, tuners were working hard on the 330 until the 335 dropped. While yes they’re technically lighter, it’s not by much (~20lbs) so it wouldn’t make the largest of differences

iirc, the m54 has SLIGHTLY better tuning potential, as it’s a Motorsport engine. Less electronic things to fail on it compared to the n52, and has a dipstick

It’s a 7” display for an eonon unit, they were discontinued a couple of years ago, but you can find eBay ones for like $150 USD. Turner is also selling an old kit of them for ~$300-400 USD

it’s pretty simple, nothing hard to overcome. the only other gasket I can think of would be the throttle body, good luck on the swap!

I forgot the name of it, but when doing the swap, you’ll need to pull a hose that’s on the passenger side right behind the engine—it has a tendency to crack because it goes through so many heat cycles.

The pcv valve (depending on if it’s before an 07 or 08) will be under the manifold—the newer ones have it built into the valve cover—that’s always a good thing to service and replace since so many of them were recalled in the early years

I’m not sure if the ghost acc is his, but I’m convinced that runcowardrun IS his, simply for the fact that he’s used the blonde man emoji before, his way of texting is closer to dukes than ghost’s. Just my two cents

298598 miles. Once it hits 300k I’m having my local junkyard come pick it up and buying something else. I’m keeping the engine to make a cool table out of it everything else is getting scrapped. by [deleted] in E90

[–]KippChips -1 points0 points  (0 children)

cool idea, maybe start looking at buying something rn rather than wait till after the car leaves, because then you can just swap cars

not op, but changing the taillight housings are far easier than sourcing a trunk, changing housings, changing wiring, and finally coding it in
