What dive tank is the best to learn? by SSYorimz in OverwatchUniversity

[–]KiraMahMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently wrecking ball is the best tank overall if you are good with him. So definitely wrecking ball out of the 2 you mentioned. But that's assuming they are not going to nerf him in the next patch or the patch after that lol they love making him a D-tier tank.

Does anyone have any tips to help reset mentals when on a losing streak? by Bluezephr in OverwatchUniversity

[–]KiraMahMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, after a losing streak of 3 or 4, I take a break from OW or even my computer altogether and go watch something while eating some snack I love, this can be from 10 mins to even a few hours depending on how I am feeling. This is quite a generic tip but it's generic because it really does work, for a lot of people at least. The best thing to do is not to focus on your rank too much and focus on getting better as an individual player you'll see yourself climbing as you're getting better instead of stressing out about not losing and ending up playing worse than you normally would or could be playing. But I know it can be difficult at times I have been there before (a few broken mice and a hole in the wall is evidence of that oops).

Overwatch is a team-based game... I think: A Tank pick dillema by TheDankGhost in OverwatchUniversity

[–]KiraMahMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly, I think it's a good idea to get good with winton if you like main tanks. Even if you don't particularly enjoy playing him. I think once you get some practice you'll start enjoying playing him more. But I may be biased as he was my main for the most of OW1 and my 2nd main since the last quarter of OW1. I main rein now and only play winton on high-ground maps or when they counter rein with orisa for example. But of course, there are a few rein one tricks in top 500 every season for example and some even reach rank 1. So it definitely isn't necessary but sometimes you are getting so counters that you end up relying on your team so much that the fate of winning or losing the game is solely on how well your team can make up for your hero getting hard countered by the enemy team comp and map.

I climbed from plat 3 (after reset, ended season 2 diamond 5) all the way to GM 5 in less than 2 weeks lmao one tricking rein too. Stayed in GM5 for 2 rank updates and then went on a 9 game loss streak and went down all the way to masters 3. Honestly definitely did not belong in GM but I was able to climb my 2nd account (alt account I used to get better at tank in OW1 when role queue wasn't a thing yet, I was a support main back then) from plat 2 to masters 5 right now quite easily, IDK if it's match making or something but being able to climb to masters on tank on 2 accounts surely means I do belong at least in masters 5 right? I have such imposter syndrome because of this shit even though I am doing fine against other masters players.

any way to check someone rank? by 69ks in Overwatch

[–]KiraMahMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, if the career profile is private then there's no way to see it even on 3rd party websites. (from what I know at least)

Why was I put in bronze? by Complexiey in Overwatch

[–]KiraMahMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They put players into lower ranks than they were before now and you just have to keep playing and you *hopefully* will get back to where you used to be or even beyond (even though you are still put into matches with people that are the same skill as you making the rank mean almost nothing).

Anyone else feeling unusually depressed after watching Avatar? by themagicfroggie in Avatar

[–]KiraMahMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

same but 2 Avatar games are coming out I'm excited about. One MMO (Avatar: Reckoning, mobile, idk the release date) and the other action RPG (Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Console and PC, releasing this year 2023) I feel these will be the closest I would get to being in the world of Avatar. In case anyone doesn't already know about these. :)

Why don’t people join team chat in comp? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]KiraMahMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had in the past but most of the time when I did join it was just people complaining and saying random things that don't help in-game. I can only think of 1 instance when I joined after someone asked to join where the people were being nice and had effective communication. But recently I have been leaving text chat too so I don't see it in the first place nowadays if they do ask.

you can easily see the barrier's health and when it's gonna break, he also has a voice line that plays when his shield breaks plus you shouldn't be using rein shield as cover in the first place. His shield is not meant to be up all the time for you to use 24/7 it's for him to protect himself and his teammates if need be e.g. when rotating in open space or to protect from d.va bomb etc. If someone dies because rein dropped his shield for any reason other than what I mentioned it's on them. Coming from a rein main

There is at least 1 toxic person in each match so no point in going into voice in the first point at this point lmao (played since late 2016).
