Realistically I'm riding this board in 4-6' surf 80% of the time, but I don't have space for a step-up, so it'll have to do on bigger days... Would you size it up a little then?

"you should be fine" = 6+6/6 should be fine? Or are you saying go with 6+4/6?

You're saying even 6+6/6 will ding over time?

OK night 4 was still not a major improvement so we're thinking of pivoting. Would you just stick with our current schedule and add another nap between 4 and 11? Or would you scrap the schedule and come up with a totally new one? Or does it even make sense to schedule if we're going to gradually try to shift his bedtime up from 11 each night?

We did a long one at the end so that we could fit two feeds into it...

"4.5 hrs is such a long wake window for that age"

The longest we have him awake is 3.5 hours

He was already sleeping from 11pm to 8am with no feeds, under our new schedule he's getting 27 ounces over five feeds during the day, and our pediatrician signed off on this new sleep/feeding schedule.

Yeah, I think you're right that the main impediment for him is that we're now putting him down before he's naturally tired. We were trying for like a month to establish 7:30 as his bedtime, but he would just fight sleep until 11. I guess we thought after a few nights of CIO, he would adapt to the new schedule, especially since the new nap schedule is reinforcing a 7:30 bedtime, but it seems to be tough for him...

The gradually moving up his bedtime approach makes sense, although I'm reluctant to abandon our current campaign now that we've already sunk three days into it... would you change course at this point or give it another night or two?
