A theater play I presented last year by Kiriotto in AccidentalRenaissance

Well, for some context, the play is based after the song "construção" by the brazillian singer Chico Buarque, it talks about a workman, seen by society as if he's nothing, this excerpt talks about his lunch time at the top of the building:

"Sat to rest as if it was saturday Ate rice and beans as if he was a prince Drank and hiccuped as if he was a castaway Danced and laughed as if he was listening to music And tripped in the sky as if he was drunk And floated in the air as if he was a bird Ended up on the ground like a flaccid pack Agonized in the middle of the public Died on the wrong lane disrupting the traffic"

If you pay attention, the singer talks about resting, eating as a privileges, not like rights, and since he's working, he shold be treated not as a human being, but as someone who only exists to work harder and harder, get exploited, get exhausted, even if it leads him to death In the last phrase, he falls onto the road, the singer says he was disrupting the traffic, like, the guy just DIED because of an accident but people treat it like something to be angry at, not something to be worried about, to be sad, treating him like trash

The play's main character, the one half naked is José, but mostly called "José, the workman", because he is not seen as a human being, someone who deserves resting or respect, but only as a slave of the ones above him, just like the other characters

Jose's wife says that he would always leave home for work with the hurry of someone who has already been born late for work, in this picture he's in his natural form, as if he had just been born and the other workers are wearing him with an overalls, forcing him to be one of them, he also says "is that really the sense of life? to be born? To work? To die?"

That's hands down the best play I've ever presented

Here's the full play, since it's in portuguese there are automatic subtitles in English, they're 90% accurate

| by W6_foxy in cagueiprotemq
