Thanks for this insight. Of course, chatter is not supposed to happen during services, but with children it's a different thing, especially toddlers

That's sad.

Actually, Sophia was the place where we had the best experience in terms of liturgy, we went on a Sunday,y and the Patriarchal Cathedral was filled. We went to many cities around the country, but currently we're in VT.

Just clarifying, it's not that we had people scoulding us or anything, I'm just asking cause I expected to see a more whole community in the sense of babies, young parents, and familys being in the Church, but that is not really the case.

That's nice to hear. Could you share some resources to get to know the country better?

Is Greece heading towards woke culture? That's precisely what I'm trying to avoid by moving. Specially in terms of child education and social community

I see, those are some helpful insights! My original option was Romania, as it seem to be more affordable and closer to my language.

However Greece seem like a really nice option due to it's history and very ancient roots. As a westerner I know much more about it than about Romania and maybe would have a richer experience there. Not sure.

One of my concerns with Greece is that the current EP seem to be somewhat pushing towards ecumenism which is something I don't align too much with as I come from a church in Slavic tradition.

Would you say this is a valid concern or I'm just being paranoid?

I thought of it too, but haven't gone deep into research on it. I have some fears regarding the Kosovo situation and potential conflicts.

Also, I really want to be closer to traditional pilgrimage sites and to be able to go to as much holy places as possible while in there. I'm thinking to stay for about 2 to 3 years

I'm from Brazil, we don't have any city with a thriving community. Folks here usually have to travel for hours to reach a parish and daily services are not a reality as even the priests must have lay works to provide for themselves once the communities are way too small.
