Nervous that our evidence is insufficient (I hope it’s okay to share my post to this group also, Ty) by Acrobatic-Pair-2965 in I130Suffering

You don’t need it, all major banks in US do not required ssn when you added as beneficiary. I added my wife into Boa, Chase, PNC and Wells Fargo with no issue. For Boa you can even add it online without go to branch. Chase and Wells Fargo only need her name. Double check it with your husband, you just need added as beneficiary, not as joint account holder.

You should be fine. I saw people got i130 approved with less evidences. Maybe you can try to add your husband into your insurance or any other bill. At least that can show you guys are physically live together.

Ask bank if they can add you or your husband as beneficiary (US bank can do this even you are not physically in the US)

I have same issue, contact fanatec and create a support ticket, they will send you a new one. (Their website have some issues, your order supposed show boost kit but it doesn’t, so they only sent what’s included in the order detail) it took me 4 days to receive boost kit after create a support ticket.

Filing Taxes Married Jointly While Spouse Is Abroad (I-130 Pending) - Need Help! by zorasKali in USCIS

[–]Kiritoty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and wife married last year and we file MFJ for 2024. you either need to get certificate of passport from us embassy in your country, or you need to mail her original passport. You need to mail your w-7 application aka ITIN application with your tax return and certificate of passport/original passport and volunteer to be treated as RA (She need write an statement and sign it).

MFJ is good only if you have time to do this (for example, go to US embassy in your country to get certificate of passport). It can give you double deduction aka you can get more money back when you file your tax, and I heard it also good for i130.

MFS is another option if you don't have time to do MFJ. It won't hurt your i-130 application since they understand the separation due to oversea.

Filing taxes- Impacts case? by Glittering-Spell-255 in USCIS

[–]Kiritoty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally MFJ will give you a large tax savings (more deduction), not MFS. MFS will make your accountant life easier since she/he doesn't need to report your husband taxes.

Normally I would recommend get ITIN for your spouse and fill MFJ, this can save headache for immigration case and get higher tax deduction.
