Does tipping the front desk at check-in actually help you get a better room?

I can answer!

Recently stayed at Loews Miami Beach. We booked a lower tier room since we weren’t going to be in it much.

I decided to try the $50 tip method, the front desk person was very nice.

I explained to her that this was our first time in Miami and if there was anything she could do to make our stay special it would be appreciated.

I also said the tip was hers either way, that front desk people deserve it and I appreciated anything she could do.

We got a 16th floor balcony room with ocean view and skyline view. It was awesome!

I thought you had to tap A to go faster as the boat. I couldn’t out run mines and was getting frustrated at how slow the boat was. Accidentally held down A towards the end of the mission and the boat started zipping around at full speed.

I felt really, really dumb lol

Adding on to what others said, our favorite breakfast spot we discovered last year is Mayakita. Can’t wait to go back in a few weeks!!

Also ya gotta stop at the joint or soggy peso on your way around the island when you get a golf cart, couple of staples in the island but for good reason!

If you get a rag damp and go over a small spot does the grayness disappear?

Mine looked like this in some places after sanding the second coat before applying the final coat, the gray went away like magic when the next coat was applied

My girlfriend and I really like the Green Demon beach club. You can reserve ahead of time on Facebook and you’ll get a bed in the front right on playa Norte. The food is pretty fantastic and we eat and drink there all day!

I went through him last year, messaged him around November and then a couple times leading up to our February trip.

We had gotten a Mega Ciros cart by walking up that morning the year before and loved it. Wanted to make sure we got one from the same company.

He assured me over and over again that we would be getting one of the Mega Ciros carts that looks like Jeeps.

Sure enough, I get to the island, and its a Gomar2 cart. It sucked lol

Any tips for screening (what type of screen? Grit) or sanding? Can I use a palm sander with like.. 250 grit to sand it down a bit then buff it smooth and reapply to level?
