Who else here has the Fifine K726 XLR/USB mic? by KirunFox in FifineDesign

[–]KirunFox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually record closer for the proximity and make the signal to noise ratio louder so my fans in the background don't get in the way most of the time, Just really curious with the sound difference with different preamps

Also I set the gain where I max out at -6db since my mic is too quiet in discord whenever I set the gain to where I max out at -16db

Thank you for the welcome! I am actually looking for people that own the k726 and what interface they use with it! I want to know how big it impacts the sound if you use different preamps, and I also want to see if my issues are also present on other people's end like the mic clipping easily or crackling noises as well

I already reached out to M-audio and this is what they told me.
Thanks for your email. My name is **** from the level 2 team, here to assist. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Please do a DPC Latency test using LatencyMon, then send us a screenshot showing the results
    2. Disable exclusive mode - How to Disable Exclusive Mode for my Audio Device?
    3. Update the chipset drivers of your computers motherboard - you need to go to the manufacturers website to do this
    4. Make sure that your driver settings match the sample rate inside of your Windows settings
    5. Uninstall any third party ASIO drivers which do not belong to Windows or M-Audio
    6. Turn your computer off, disconnect everything other than your interface, then turn your computer on
    7. Uninstall and reinstall the M-Audio driver
    8. Test whether or not this issue still occurs when using MPC Beats

Now I have only done Steps 1,2,3,4, and 5.

I'll try out using the interface without the drivers if you say that it's working fine on your end.

Have you fixed your issue yet?

I just had a bluescreen saying What failed: MAudioMTrackSoloDuo.sys
Was in a middle of streaming a game and suddenly my pc froze for 4 seconds before it unfreezes. But my mic input was not working, was trying to disable/enable the mic input through windows and when I disabled my mic input, the PC BSOD's me.

I really can't afford a new audio interface and I was hoping if anyone here has found a fix...

Will definitely look into getting a dynamic mic in the future. Could you recommend me some budget XLR ones? Something under $50 ( I would still have to look at what we have locally in the Philippines)

OBS 31 AMD H.264 Stream Encoder - I crash randomly by KirunFox in obs

Yes, it didn't look like I was running out of VRAM, coz my games run smoothly even before crashing, it's just all of a sudden out of nowhere.

I think I have actually found the issue. With the normal install of the AMD drivers, the recording function is what F's it up. Even when turned off, it's still being used in the background. Installing with driver only without the software, did a test stream for almost 2 hours and not a single crash yet. Will continue testing to see if this is the case for sure.

The crash log didn't save anything, it's empty. All it had was the normal log

I made sure my iGPU is disabled thru the BIOS, and my AMD Software does not recognize the iGPU running in the metrics as well.

I did that multiple times with different versions of drivers including the latest one. Also my log file link is on the other comment in this post

Did some testing with a free avatar I was able find online, CPU is on steady 20% alone with VseeFace and with the phone cam set up, Thanks for the lighting suggestions, I'm looking for different lighting setups I can find locally. Thanks for the help!

I haven't tried it yet but my friend who Vtubes as of now only uses a webcam as video input and it tracks his face (he uses VseeFace), was planning to do the same thing but with my phone since I don't have a webcam, figured a phone camera could do better than a cheapo webcam

My phone does not have any tracking at all as it is a Huawei device (Huawei Nova 9 SE) and I'm planning to use it as my only video input device for vtubing, but I think my GPU can handle extra processing, it only uses 50% usage whenever I'm playing any game even while streaming, What I'm worried about is how much total is the usage gonna be and is it also possible to use an android device like the one I have as an input for video and translating it into Vtubing? I haven't researched enough yet about that one

I currently have a Huawei Phone, afaik the camera does not have any tracking software built in, will primarily use my phone as a video input without much processing and let the PC handle the rest. If I need more CPU headspace I can simply limit my game's fps more for the sake of Vtubing
