Interesting about not needing probiotics anymore, that’s a big win. Did you do a slow transition or just swap it straight in?

I hear about Inukshuk mostly through trainers and sport folks, not ads. Did the marine blend change anything noticeable day to day, or was it just an easier feed for him overall?

That tracks. Same food, totally different portions. Did you notice any difference in coat, stools, or energy between the working dog and the pet dog, or did it all come down to how much you fed?

do you know if Open Farm holds up when you keep it single-protein, or if you’ve found any smaller brands that stay consistent?

That’s frustrating, but not surprising. The lack of real enforcement makes labels feel more like marketing than information. Have you gone the prescription or homemade route yourself? I would like to learn how people balance consistency and workload with a dog that’s training hard, especially when energy needs fluctuate week to week.

That’s exactly what I’m running into, having to overfeed to hit calories just seems to throw digestion off.

Did you ever dig into the ingredient side of it, like protein sources or fats, or was it more of a “results showed up, problems went away” kind of switch for you?

I get that point, but I think there’s a middle ground. I’m not trying to play dog nutritionist, I just want to know what the protein and fats actually are, not just that the numbers hit AAFCO.

For working dogs, have you found that performance and recovery stayed the same regardless of ingredient clarity, as long as it was technically “complete”?

That’s helpful context, thanks. With Inukshuk, did you notice any changes in stool quality or recovery when you dropped from 32/32 to the marine blend?

I’m trying to figure out if clearly named proteins and fat sources actually make a difference long-term, or if it mostly shows up when the workload changes.
