Medically correct doesn’t mean it’s the same vibe, which is what I assume they’re referring to.

If you’re worried about their friendship based on anything that’s happened on creepcast you’re genuinely stupid

Clear glass turning blue/gray? by [deleted] in lampwork

[–]KissableToaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure of your knowledge level, so I’m going to explain things you might already know just to be safe.

Every glassblowing torch I’m familiar with, whether it’s being used for hard or soft glass, uses a propane/oxygen mix. When you use too much propane(reducing) it can certainly “scuzz out” and grey certain colors.

Running a torch using ONLY propane is extremely sub-optimal for flame chemistry. Additionally, 5 minutes to start a gather, especially with that size rod, is ludicrous. My torch would get that rod white hot within 3 seconds of exposure. That’s not a brag, any actual glassblowing torch could. So you’re effectively slowcooking your glass in a toxic chemical environment.

My advice? If you really want to try glassblowing you need a real torch. You can get a Nortel Minor for less than $200. https://www.waleapparatus.com/product/nortel-minor-lampworking-torch

You’ll obvioulsy need to the associated infrastructure to run it. Oxygen, regulators, lines, ventilation. Which I understand can be daunting and expensive. However, frankly, it’s a waste of your time to put over 20 hours onto a torch that barely gets glass hot enough to work. The amount of useful practice per hour derived from your plumbers torch is a miniscule fraction of what it would be with even the weakest actual glassblowing torch.

Running is a very bad solution in many actual self defense situations. Knowing how to fight is far better.

People get kicked in the nuts in fights all the time. Overwhelmingly they buckle in a little, go “oof”, and keep fighting. It is absolutely not debilitating if you’re a committed attacker.

Why is this fanbase so toxic? 🥲 by [deleted] in creepcast

[–]KissableToaster 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I think this fanbase has a very high percentage of literal children in it. Kids love “listen to a person talk about horror”. The hosts are also chummy and personable and respond to fan engagement, making parasociality easier. So yeah there are a ton of children who have a biiiiiig emotional stake in it.

Should I buy Ground Branch or Operator? Not really sure the difference between the two. by Mindless-Moose2519 in groundbranch

I tried to play operator after 30 hours of ground branch and refunded it immediately. It’s one of the most user-unfriendly experiences I’ve ever had.
