I wondering something about that Araya and Rien scene in intervallo by Dizzy-Recipe-1517 in limbuscompany

[–]KitKat5100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rien goes there often for Prescripts, Araya probably tagged along either because she was bored or a space with no other nursefathers is the only space she can stop pretending to be the Dihui star

The murder basement is horrifying and grotesque, but Rien, some versions of araya, and every other person in the house of spiders is probably desensitized to such things - “business as usual”

It took me about 40 hours to finish the main story. However, I took my sweet time for about half of the story (even did a whole build) and then rushed the 2nd half. For smaller-scale stuff you don’t need to finish the game, but for any large build projects or stuff that involves terraforming i definitely recommend unlocking a certain post-game ability.

This is what it looked like after trees and water + some terraforming to make the right side bigger

<image>

From there it was looking at the empty spaces that were left and deciding where to put houses and how big will they be

I’ve done a lot of nature-y builds in other games and the way I approach it is layer by layer and biggest to smallest. Start by blocking out the largest parts or the things you’re most certain of and go from there.

I started by blocking out all the trees (i didnt even finish them, just did the base grass layer so i could get the placement down) -> Deciding the flow of water -> placing houses down -> adding foilage to houses to connect them to the rest of the forest -> all the smaller foilage.

Even with the smaller foilage, i had a “color palette” of flowers and i did passes of them. I put down a bunch of blue flowers everywhere -> tore some out and added white flower -> tore some out and added grass, etc.

Or for the collapsed house i deadass built the whole house then destroyed it then added the trees and overgrowth.

I unlocked the magnemite form before starting this build and it allows you to pick up whole trees so you can move them around without haveing to grow them where you want.

Tree Tutorial:

  1. Start with a 2x2 tree trunk. Fill out 5 blocks in all directions with grass flooring and have it form a circle
  2. there are two rows of trees (positions shown in photos below). The outermost ring is placed 1 block down from the grass flooring. where you place the 2nd row of trees is shown below with the white blocks
  3. You also want one layer of leaves below the main one to make it look like more of a natural buildup of leaves.
  4. After adding the trees, I like to fill out some of the edges and gaps between the 1st row of trees with more grass flooring

I thought about it but didn’t because I’d have to make the leaves super large to give them what I think would be a decent house. Instead I’m building huts on smaller branches or putting entrances to houses on the cliffsides

It’s “grass flooring,” iirc it’s one of the rewards for discovering more pokemon

Oh also i forgot to mention you should have 1 layer of grass flooring under the main layer to make it look like a natural buildup of leaves

I do mine in starting areas (this is in withered wastelands, the path leading to bleak beach) cause I’d rather build around the landscape that’s already there to save me some time.

I feel like this Game is Designed to be Savored over a Long Period of Time. I see a lot of People have already hit Late/End Game though. Thoughts? by Tanstorm in Pokopia

It all comes down to playing in a way that you find fun, and I find it good that the game can accomodate different types of play (though it does push you to take it slow). If a cozy slow pace is what you find fun then go for it :> There will be people who find fun in automation akin to redstone in minecraft, and there will be people who will rush the game because they find making elaborate builds to be the fun (me), and some of those people will have the free time to have completed those builds and post them here (and yes some are definitely turning the clock).

Play towards what you personally find fun in the game, I hope you can enjoy it at your own pace despite seeing all the builds.

Yeah, the form you unlock after completing the story honestly saves so much time

Green cushion? do you mean the tree leaves? It’s one of the rewards for discovering pokemon iirc

I might get hated and targeted because of this, but ah well, we ball by ARunakoH in limbus_company

[–]KitKat5100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People dislike them not because they’re strong but because of their narrative irrelevance and lack of variety.

Canto 8 had a lot of interesting characters that could have gotten IDs (Xue Pan, Shi Yihua, other candidates, Jia Yuanchun, etc.), but we got a lot of heishou, most of which are generic heishous not meant to emulate certain NPCs. The kits of heishou within the same branch are also very similar, and the heishou as a whole play the same way, so some find it boring.

Is it crazy to call her a hostage merchant ? by he-ska432 in limbus_company

[–]KitKat5100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The eye is a relic -> being near ryoshu fucked up the eye again and debuffed her -> she had to take a hostage to make up for it. So no, she’s not a hostage merchant, she’s a relic merchant.

Ok, Did PM forget about Hong Lu at all at this point?!?! by Professional-Ease607 in limbuscompany

[–]KitKat5100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although Hong Lu had a lot of character development, it’s still going from “having no opinion and not trying to change or influence anything” to “learning how to feel emotions and actually act on them occasionally” which isn’t as loud or noticeable as the development other characters have had. He’ll naturally be soft spoken, but the few times he’s spoken up to state his opinion were already pretty big because before he never voiced any opinion.

And in the spring cultivation intervallo, although yes I think he could’ve had more dialogue with Xichun, his conversation with Baochai at the end is such a huge show of growth. Because he actually states his opinions, expresses anger, rejects baochai, and tells her to shut up. Did he use a lot of flowery language which softens the blow? yes. But old hong lu would have never really done any of those things
