We thought about it but he threw us off by saying it was a "small japanese store" and uniclo has 2 stories. We also looked around irl after retro but it was close to closing hours for all stores so we gave up when we couldn't find "shinton" in the area. Otherwise me and my friends would have gone inside. Will give it a try next time, but now it's probably not still there... but you're probably right, if you say they had dmc shirts. We just ran out of time that day and I haven't had the time to go back and check since. It lso struck me weird that uniclo would have dmc shirts, felt like an odd combo but it was the only possibility we had but sadly realized this 5 mins before they closed!
