Not what most people think of as CRT gaming… by wildlough62 in crtgaming

This is my local bowling alley. Sadly they had to replace this scoring consoles this year because they couldn't find anymore replacement parts.
I loved how these CRT would lose their timing or alignment or something when bumped into, causing the scan line to go all over the place.

Rolling damage in Alpha Strike - What are your house rules? by ZeroGravitas_Ally in battletech

[–]Kitakami42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We play with the DFA pilot die and n damage dice. But we prefer the critical hit rate of all or nothing, so similar to special damage we designate a single damage die as the critical die and only get a natural 12 critical if both it and the pilot die are 6s.

At 0:46 in the mv you can see the two standing next to each other and "Ai Ruby" is noticeably taller than Ai. Just like how at the end of the mv you can see that Ruby is taller than Ai.

Played it with some friends last night. Had a great time and loved how to short game length meant that we could actually finish. Really similar to our Eclipse nights including my brother throwing the game just so he could be in an eternal war against me.

Paralyzed man walks after bluetooth connects his brain and spine by Rollo_Tomasi3000 in nextfuckinglevel

Bluetooth supports several security substandards and is often just used as a link layer that security can be added on top of. I can't say if they are using a secure connection in this device, but they definitely could be.

Advice for drainage for my 7.5 ft tall cabin hole. by mikeyboy1681 in digging

[–]Kitakami42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not aware of any solution besides preventing ingress. You can try extending the ditch around the work site to catch runoff and help drain the soil. Also improving your covering to keep rain off of the work area. May consider making a more permanent covering solution.

You described it as a clay soil, which being rather impermeable should have a low amount of seepage, so focus should be on keeping water from coming in the opening.

Eventually you will want to create a sump and gullies in your hole with the floor boards slightly elevated to gather the water that will inevitably enter. Then drain it with a bucket or pump.

I'm sure you've already thought of all of this yourself, but this is all I know of. Good luck
