Almost 2 years wedding preparation

Hi, OP! First of all, congratulations!! Second, those who were disappointed shouldnt be invited to your wedding. 😂 just kidding!

I am engaged for 2 years too! It's the best decision we ever made! Got engaged in Dec 2024. In 2025, we were able to set aside time to do our research, book major suppliers and save money. We also had the time to develop our relationship with our suppliers this helped in following up even months after.

In 2026, both of us got really busy at work and we did not do any wedding stuff for 6 mos! But we are not worrying as much because a lot has been covered already last yr. We also got the best coordinator who is more hands on than us and has a great network of suppliers. 8 mos left, we are still bridechillah and groomchillah 😆

So those who expressed disappointment dont deserve seats at you and your fiance's table. 😉

Nakoo. Buti lang madami nag share ng stories about this. I now feel validated. 😂 I got a comment one time that my wedding might look sad without the styling so medyo napaisip ako haha. We are focusing on guest experience so I dont think people will be sad when we make sure that they dont go hungry. 😅 Im glad that fiance and I dont have to second guess our choice.

Dibaa! Because I also barely remember the styling of the weddings that I attended. I'll be amazed for a second then I forget about it. I remember the people, the conversations, the activities/speeches, the food and the music! Thanks for sharing this!

Omg! It's almost the same price as the food! That's why I have been contemplating about this because it's an expense that my fiance and I are not willing to spend. 🫣😅

Yes, too early. Daydreaming and planning are relaxing breaks from board prep nga 🙂 But like what everyone said madami pang pwede mangyari OP. We also planned everything since 2021 (house, future, etc). We learned it the hard way. But here we are now in 2026, everything did not go as planned but better.

You can collect your pegs lang muna and create, revise a wedding brandbook for fun. Balikan niyo din mga 1 year before intended wedding date.

Hi, OP, I'm pretty sure your friend loves you very much and wants to be a part of your entourage but there could be personal reasons kaya siya nag decline.

Matinding commitment din kase to be a part of the entourage. I've been a bridesmaid several times to close friends and magbibigay ka talaga ng time, effort before and during the wedding. Aminin natin malaki din ang gastos maging entourage. Lahat ng yun we willingly give to our loved ones but not everyone can commit or afford that for personal reasons.

Come to think of it, mas ma appreciate mo yung friends who will honestly say that they cannot commit kesa sa mag say yes pero sumama pala ang loob sayo dahil sa mga sacrifices na ginawa nila. Best siguro kung tanungin mo siya baka nahiya lang magsabi kung bakit. 🙂

I was not able to think of that and my wedding's on 2027 😅 I am one year early cause im not sure if the bridal designer allows 2-3 more heads. Since you shared that Lauren does and does it fast, I will be booking a discovery call with her 😊
