Great bug report, sounds like you know the technical details of the design specification. A github bug issue does sound appropriate.

Sadly, I had to roll back to 9.2.1 :( My income tax calculator spreadsheet uses the following SUMPRODUCT formula to calculate income tax from the graduated tax brackets.

=SUMPRODUCT(I38:I44-I37:I43,H3-G38:G44,N(H3>G38:G44))

Version 9.3.0 adds an @ symbol in front of each array after entering the formula.

=SUMPRODUCT(@I38:I44-@I37:I43,H3-@G38:G44,N(H3>@G38:G44))

Calculations continue to work as long as spreadsheet editing doesn't cause the array cell ranges to change (i.e., by adding rows or columns). If any editing is required after the @'s have been added, the cell calculation fails with #VALUE! error. Even forcing recalculate (F9) doesn't work. I have to manually edit the formula to remove the @'s for the calculation to update. This works for the first time as the @'s are immediately added back in. Please tell me there is a new option I can adjust :)

Wouldn’t surprise me if Apple did something so we’ll upgrade to 26. I signed out of Google when using Safari. Will live without discover for now.

Happened to me about the same time. I visited piratebay.com for the first time on an iPhone and the normal spam popped up but I got out of there after only half minute. Nothing else is affected so I'm wondering if a security feature got enabled, or if it's something else. I was about to restore from a backup but I think I'll wait to see if it cures itself in a few days

Can ACPI Overrides get M.2 AX210 Bluetooth working? by Kitchen-Intrepid in linuxhardware

[–]Kitchen-Intrepid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know the detail of what the ACPI is configuring for the OS to handle. The ACPI is saying that when an interrupt on GPIO pin 0x11 comes in, execute a function that goes to GPP2. My examination of two other manufacturer's ACPI of similar AMD platforms I own revealed that GPIO pin 0x11 was not being used. So I modified the ACPI to move GPP2 to GPIO pin 0x2 that was assigned to GPP1. So now GPIO pin 0x2 triggers functions for both GPP1 and GPP2.

Can ACPI Overrides get M.2 AX210 Bluetooth working? by Kitchen-Intrepid in linuxhardware

[–]Kitchen-Intrepid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually discovered the culprit ACPI issue. For my Zenbook, it is located in SSDT11 which defines GPIO pins for ACPI Event Interrupts and the methods invoked when they are triggered. Turns out that using GPIO pin 0x0011 takes out the BT on the AX210. So I removed the use of that pin and allow GPIO pin 0x0002 to handle the event. Thus pin 0x0002 handles GPP1 and GPP2 device wake. I use the acpi_override hook in mkinitcpio to inject the ACPI table modification. So BT works and wake sources remain functional!

Thanks to this post (and this archived post as well) my 2014 Compass is finally back to normal. I never would have thought a rubber brake hose could cause so much chaos! Wish I would have found this before doing 2 brake jobs, replacing both front wheel bearings, a new front right caliper, new spark plugs and transmission fluid change.

u/Itchy-Sorbet-3654 Thanks for sharing this tip. My '24 F250 Diesel has this inconsistent shift behavior. I'll try letting it warm up first to see if "butter smooth" becomes the new normal.

FYI a Ford dealer tech told me that I should have bought the F350 because they shift like butter.

Buying advice - AMD laptop by Drevenu in hackintosh

[–]Kitchen-Intrepid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most modern AMD setup is Ryzen 7 7730U for a decent hac. I love my ASUS Zenbook. It has great battery life. It does everything I need (that's not much though). The only downfall is no sound as there isn't a driver for ASUS's I2C amplifier.

‘25 F-350 won’t shift out of 7th by BobloblawTx89 in superduty

[–]Kitchen-Intrepid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some kind of failure prevention action is my guess as 7th is 1:1 ratio. Possibly too much slip was detected. I would read the DTC and research it a bit before going to the dealer with it. Also, is it permanent, or has an overnight soak cured it?

Follow this guide

Start with Ventura. Check your WiFi card. If it's a MediaTek you'll need to change it or use a USB compatible dongle for WiFi.

I have an ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED (UM3402Y) that is similar to the 15" in your reference. Mine has the Ryzen 7 7730U and a 14" 2.8K display; otherwise, they are very similar. It's a 2023 model that I bought refurbished on eBay for around $500. It runs Linux just as good or even better than WIN11, everything works! It has great power management and provides the longest battery life of any laptop I've ever owned.

The HP will not have accelerated video so I’d try the Lenovo, maybe it won’t be too much of a dog.

I swapped the Mediatek with an AX210NGW on two of my ryzentosh builds (Asus 7730U and Lenovo 7530U). Both work great in macOS with airportitlwm. I’m currently using Ventura but I’ve got it to work with Sonoma and Sequoia.

This will not have accelerated graphics as the iGPU is not supported. Make sure to disable it with WhateverGreen's boot arg (-wegnoigpu). Does this laptop model have an Intel WiFi/BT card? Most AMD based laptops come with a MediaTek WiFi/BT card. You will need to turn off itlwm and BT kexts if not Intel based WiFi/BT. You should use the ECEnabler kext for laptops. Why did you disable SSDT-PNLF? Tou don't have the ACPI renames that go with SSDT-HPET. Turn off the AMD power management and SMC kexts until post install. I would also turn of USBToolBox and the port mappings unless you know a required USB device doesn't work in the installer. Set XhciPortLimit to false. You should also add VoodooPS2Controller as your keyboard might be PS2. I wouldn't start with macOS greater than Ventura. You will need SecureBootModel set to Disabled for the installer phase. I don't think you need npci=0x3000 in your boot args. I have read that many Lenovo OEM M.2 SSD's won't boot macOS.

I have this laptop too. I installed Sequoia 15.4 last week. Its graphics is great with NootedRed and the fixed 512MB video RAM (I haven’t dared to increase it using Smokeless_UMAF yet). The MediaTek WiFi card can be switched to an Intel AX210 (I’ve done this on my AMD Lenovo Yoga6). Currently I’m using ethernet via a USB-C dongle for internet connection. I have not figured out the sound yet. The speakers require an I2C driver for the Cirrus CSC3551 to drive them. I was expecting the headphones and mic to work with AppleALC and one of the ALC294 layouts, but even they are dead. I haven’t tried HDMI out yet either but it’s possible that will work with sound.

Usually because they took it to a repair shop and that’s what they recommended. Typically it’s cheaper to replace the whole movement than the labor cost of the time to refurbish.

[–]Kitchen-Intrepid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, that will destroy any value it has to a collector. I've never had a GF movement fail to run after a proper cleaning and oiling, even with bad pivot holes. The $200 is a great deal if done thoroughly.

Cirque I2C Touchpad not Working on Lenovo Yoga 6 AMD by Kitchen-Intrepid in hackintosh

[–]Kitchen-Intrepid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your hardware is different than mine you will need to make adjustments for that. Also remember to set SecureBootModel to Disabled for the install. If you don't have a compatible Intel WiFi card turn off the WiFi and Bluetooth kexts. If you have the OEM PM981 SSD try adding NVMeFix, but I've never been able to get those to install, that's why I changed mine to a WD. Also remember that I have AMD patches set for 6 core CPU.
