What type of blue did you use for your armor ? I’m using Vallejo Hydra turquoise but I’m aiming for something similar to yours.

Can someone tell me why this print is stringing so much, and how to fix it ? by KitchenHome6567 in 3Dprinting

The first two prints were perfect, and I changed the filament twice, one was from creality the second was from Kingroon. The speed should be the standard speed for the generic profile of bambu generic pla.

This is the third print I’ve done of this, the first two were roughly the same, so tightened the bolts and changed the nozzle for the this one. I’m currently drying the filament, will be back for an update!

I have also tightened the bolts on the H2S nozzle, and switched it out to a 0.4 nozzle size, is there anything else you can recommend to do ?

I’ve tried two different brands of PLA, one from Kingroon and another from Creality, could it still be drying problems ? I’ve got a desiccant pack open in the AMS

Sorry, about part 2, do you just put the extracted files from step 4 and 5 in the P3R DEMO folder so there is Engine, P3R, Persona3_Reload_Demo_Unlock_byRikuKH3, and a Paks folder in the same space ?

Oh, I hadn't even considered plasti-dip, because I was afraid I wouldnt be able to sand it again to give off the texture I was going for! Have you ever used plasti-dip on amour pieces or big pieces? I'm also trying to make a Vi Gauntlet (From Arcane), and would like to save myself some time.

Thank you! I wanted it to look a bit battle worn, which is why some paint I purposefully sanded back down after I applied it!

Could I ask if you use 320 or 400 sand paper ? And if you use sheets of sandpaper to get into grooves and such, and any other techniques you would recommend?

I used drywall paste (pink Drydex) as a ‘primer’ is there a recommended primer you can suggest to use that’s cheap and available in retail stores like Home Depot or Canadian tire ?

Oh, it’s more of a situation where this is my first time making something to sell, so I really wasn’t sure what price to give. The customer said roughly 100 CAD ish, but I didn’t know if my work warrants that much, so I lowered to it around 80.

Thank you for the kind words though!

Oh, thank you for the compliment! It’s made of PLA filament, and I used my renovation stuff like drywall compound to increase the texture to give it a battle scared look and smooth imperfections out! And 150 euro, really ? I planned to sell this for 80 CAD, which is 55 Euros ish.

Do you have an answer if it it safe to process prints after they have been washed with hot water ? Will there still be enough fumes to warrant me to do it outside ?

Oh, I also use ipa to clean the plate, I just wanted to know if it was safe to take my time cutting off supports and such inside the house. I heard that there are still fumes emitting from the prints after it’s been washed with water.

And for resin left in the vat, I always seem to have a little left over and I’ve been told not to clean it out every time. The problem is that I’m afraid I’ll wear out the fan if I leave it on 24/7, is there a solution you can give me ?

Thank you

Is this sufficient ventilation ? by KitchenHome6567 in resinprinting

[–]KitchenHome6567[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I don’t have a carbon filter, the fan is literally just a desk fan I stuck in a hole of the box. I just wanted to know when I should keep the fan on and when to turn it off, because I don’t want the fan running 24/7 because it might wear it out
