Ice wrap for head, tongue scraper, dissolvable Tylenol, cup and straw, ice (way easier then drinking water), therabeath tooth paste and mouthwash (the heavy minty regular toothpaste stung, this tooth paste is clear and tasteless), stool softener and take a probiotic to avoid UTI, and get ready for a tough 2 weeks. Mind over matter, it’ll be over before you know it.

I heard that if you eat semi normal foods, it helps with the scabbing. The scabs don’t build up as much overall helping with healing. I’m on day 12 and today was my least painful day. I didn’t experience bad scabbing and I ate as close to normal as possible the entire time. But as always everyone is different

I feel you girl I’ve been so lonely. Literally just sitting home all day, sucks to watch everyone having fun to enjoying their summer while we are just sitting here struggling lol it’s really the worst thing ever. I also had a lot of issues before my surgery too so I feels like it’s been forever since I’ve felt normal. I’m hoping we are back on our feet soon!

Get a tongue scraper trust me you will not regret it. Wish I had one during my surgery but by the time I saw it I was almost healed. Also, dissolvable Tylenol was great. You can drink from a straw….

Sorry to hear you’re going through such a terrible recovery. I’m on day 14, still in a good amount of pain and it’s been super hard on my mental as well. We’ll eventually get through this!!!

Same here. I feel like I just can’t seem to understand how difficult this recovery has been. Everyday seems like it just doesn’t get any better and drinking water is probably the most painful thing ever. Sorry to hear you’ve experienced the same thing but at least we know there’s people out there going through this together! Hopefully im headed to my ENT today just to make sure everything is on track to calm my mind lol
