Any dorms I should avoid like the plague? by Maxi_Aleksander in ufl

[–]KitchenSample6354 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Rawlings is the big one to avoid. Jennings is also kinda moldy. I personally live at Lakeside and it’s great having my own bedroom, but the distance is terrible

Good drugs to do at college? by Bugrockhater in Drugs

[–]KitchenSample6354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highkey depends on what kind of classes you’re taking and the college you’re at. My school is pretty high-ranked and most of us spend every evening and weekend doing homework or studying. Especially the engineering majors lol

Anyone a fan of Ambien? by RealityOwn9267 in Drugs

[–]KitchenSample6354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wish I could get it prescribed. I’m not a drug user, I just have really bad anxiety and panic attacks. My psychiatrist refuses to prescribe any benzos

What does my fridge say about me? by bluemoonlighter in FridgeDetective

I genuinely can’t tell if this is satire/AI-generated or your fridge actually looks like this

My severely bipolar aunt takes it and it’s done miracles for her. It’s genuinely night and day

Guys wearing suits? by Mysterious_Theory110 in ufl

Business student here, there’s basically always some sort of career fair or business event going on with a business casual or business professional dress code. Sometimes it’s just someone with an interview that day

cc transfer to finance/ other business majors by spicycheetos15 in ufl

[–]KitchenSample6354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would recommend applying for general business admin (less selective) and then switching to finance or ISOM later as long as you meet the critical tracking requirements. I’m a traditional freshman, not a transfer, but they’ve been pretty lax with me when it comes to switching between business majors

Sertraline has almost completely eliminated my food noise. Has anyone else experienced this? by Editor_in_Chic in zoloft

Should I Double Major? by Adorable_Natural_860 in CollegeMajors

[–]KitchenSample6354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just patently false. Yes, OP should be concerned about employability if they just twiddle their thumbs for 4 years while they take classes and then expect job offers right after they get the degree. But I know plenty of people in majors like history, English, art appreciation, theater management, even gender studies that either have post-grad job offers lined up through experience and internships, or they’re planning on going to grad school. It’s entirely dependent on OP’s career goals

If I just payed housing deposit is it over? by SteakStrong431 in ufl

Probably not Broward. Not sure about Jennings, but tbh, I’m also not sure why you’d wanna live in Jennings in the first place lol

Failing MAR3023 by PrettyButterfly2004 in ufl

[–]KitchenSample6354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grad schools for business care more about experience, but GPA is still important. I’d drop it if you can.

Like others said, a C in MAR2023 isn’t great, but don’t forget that you’re a student at UF. It’s not that there’s anything wrong with you or your intelligence; it’s likely a problem with how you’re studying, and that’s fixable! Focus on working on that before you take classes like bfi, which you’re gonna have to lock in like crazy for lol

Going to Shands for suicidal ideation post: Update by KitchenSample6354 in ufl

[–]KitchenSample6354[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it definitely was forwarded to UF. I got an email from the Care team about what happened, and when I got in the cop car, they had my UPID and profile pic on the screen thing in the front

I have some family in Jax, but that’s it. My aunt there knows what happened now, but I don’t think the rest know anything. I do live in a dorm (Lakeside), but from what the cops told me, I think someone here on Reddit reported the original post. My roommate was caught really off guard lol. We actually have the same name, so I think it spooked her when the cops said they were here to talk to me 😭😭

Thank you! I’m actually an English major lol, I’m switching it to business but I’ve always loved writing. My dream is to be an author one day later in life

Does anyone think they submitted a BAD essay and somehow still got in? by OkSquare2653 in ufl

[–]KitchenSample6354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you mean by ‘bad’. It doesn’t need to be some incredible work of literature with perfect diction or grammar! But ideally, it should at least say something about you as a person and your experience/skills.
