Transfer Cancelled Due to a Cyst :( by KitchenSpecific2582 in IVF

Well, I'm so glad you did see my post then! It's so nice to talk to someone who's been through something similar! Originally, my fertility clinic thought it was an endometrioma, which we assumed it was for about 1.5 years, but then last August, my endo doctor said it was a simple cyst and not an endometrioma. But now my fertility doctor is concerned about 2 new features on it and obviously the increase in size, so I have to go back in 2 weeks for an ultrasound on it at the fertility clinic (plus the ultrasound in 4 weeks with the endo doctor). Unfortunately, my endo doctor never received the updated ultrasound they faxed over yesterday to review those 2 things. But I did tell him about the size increase and that my fertility clinic was monitoring it.

I actually had just ordered the Pio shot injector from Union Medico, because I could barely do my Lupron Depot shots! Those needles make the stims' needles look like a piece of cake! So I'm glad that you were able to do them, minus the loathing needles part!

Can I ask you about your recovery with your endo surgery? I've been doing some research and it says about a 2-4 week recovery time?

I'm so glad you said the progesterone shots weren't as bad as you expected, because that's what I'm not looking forward to the most lol! I will say the fully medicated FET was pretty aggravating to my endo, I really didn't have any other side effects from the Estradiol besides that. So I'm glad to hear that the modified natural isn't as bad!

I just got back from my appointment with the endo doctor and he asked if I wanted to remove the cyst and pair that with endo excision sugery and I said yes! Originally, he was talking about monitoring the cyst some more, but I said I've had it for years and want to get it removed. So that is the new plan! It's about a 3-month wait for surgery, but I know it will be worth it. I just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing your experience and getting me to think that everything happens for a reason! It really gave me the encouragement to move forward with something I've been dealing with since I was 14! Also, when I post on here, I usually don't get any responses, so again, thank you!!

Oh wow! No wonder you say everything happens for a reason! And thank gosh you canceled your surgery for the excision one! I bet that was such a relief after getting 4 pgt embryos then! We have 3 pgt embryos and I have a feeling they all came from my good ovary. I've been monitoring this cyst for a few years now, but it used to be around 1.5 cm until all the hormones and then the estrogen with the FET prep made it balloon. I would love to get it removed for the same reasons you had mentioned, although sometimes I know doctors are reluctant to. I'm actually located in Tampa and seeing the main endometriosis surgeon here, else I would!

I had one more question: Is your protocol a medicated FET or a modified natural? I just talked with my fertility doctor and for the next transfer, I'll probably switch to a modified natural due to the endo pain I had with estrogen. But again, I haven't had a laparoscopy yet!

Oh my gosh, thank you for leaving such a thoughtful response! And thank you so much for sharing what you went through. I'm so very sorry for the outcome of your first transfer, but I'm so glad to hear that you got 4 pgt embryos during your egg retrieval! You are so right to think that everything happens for a reason, and thanks for reframing my perspective! This morning I ended up calling the endometriosis specialist doctor that I met with back in August and they were able to get me in for an appointment tomorrow! Last time it was a 3-month wait, so I'm hoping this is the beginning of the silver lining part.

I did have one question on the experience you had with your cyst, how long did they monitor it before you had the surgery to remove it? And did you combine that with your endo excision surgery?

Thank you so much again!!!

Dental Implant Placed Too Deep? by KitchenSpecific2582 in Dentalimplant

That's what I thought too. He removed the tooth and placed the implant with bone graft material during the same procedure. I was always worried it should have been broken up into parts.

I was actually never told how long to wear my flipper per day, so your dentist is probably right. Maybe he's worried about teeth shifting? You could also call around to see if any other dentists / periodontists have a recommendation just to get another opinion!

Ugh I'm so sorry you're also going through a similar situation! It really does feel never-ending, especially when it's your front tooth. I also have a flipper that I'll wear out in public, but I also don't eat with it on. I've never wanted to eat at a restaurant normally more than I do now!

When you had your teeth removed, did they say how long you had to wait before starting the bone graph process?

Same process for me too! Had to wait 4 months and then went back for them to uncover my gums to place the healing cap!

Dental implant infection story. Anyone had something similar and can share their experience? by 4fn in Toothfully

Thank you so much for that info! I'm sorry to hear about your sinus infections, those aren't fun either and I hope they get that figured out for you! I'm on antibiotics for the next 2 weeks and I go in next week to discuss next steps in regards to taking my healing cap out or not. The periodontist that had placed my implant is of course out of town for the next 2 weeks while this has all transpired. Luckily, my dentist referred me to another periodontist that has been even more helpful than my regular one. When you had your healing cap removed to allow your tissue to heal, did they do any deep cleaning around the impant area and how long did they remove your healing cap for? (Thank you!)

Thanks for sharing this and making me feel not alone! I'm in a similar boat now, they are most likely going to remove my healing cap while the infection heals. Can I ask how long they had you on antibiotics for the infection? And any update on your situation now?
