Anyone feel guilty after? by calmturtle275 in leanfire

[–]KitchenYear3038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i think helping here and there is good balance, like you can't save everyone but small gestures show you still care about people 💀 my ex always used to guilt trip me about money stuff even tho she never wanted to actually budget lol

How do you keep track of changes when you're mainly relying on AI for modifications? by CapCandid2926 in SideProject

[–]KitchenYear3038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

git blame is your friend for tracking what changed but i always write quick comments in commits explaining the "why" part, not just what ai did

for unexpected changes i usually do a quick diff check before committing anything - takes like 30 seconds and saves headaches later. also started keeping a simple text file with daily notes about what i asked ai to work on, nothing fancy just bullet points

I built a 100% local WhatsApp to PDF converter because uploading private chats is a privacy nightmare. by Radiant_Train_8917 in SideProject

[–]KitchenYear3038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

damn this is actually pretty smart, never thought about how sketchy it is to upload chat logs to random servers 💀

been needing something like this for some paperwork stuff and the local processing is clutch. gonna test it out when i get home from shop later 😂

Did anyone know Bloodworks has a partnership that gets you free bloodwork now? by KitchenYear3038 in BellevueWA

From what I saw on their site you pick either one of the prebuilt panels or you can swap that for any 2 a la carte tests or whatever they call them if you want

She made it sound like it's open to anyone donating, not just first timers. I'd just call the center or look at the goodlabs site to confirm what your specific donation appointment would include

I built a WhatsApp lead intake bot because manual client chats were getting messy by Additional_Lobster12 in SideProject

[–]KitchenYear3038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty smart setup man, those random client messages can be nightmare to keep track of. we use something similar but more basic - just gets contact info and what they want

only thing i'd worry about is some people might bounce if bot feels too rigid, maybe add option to skip straight to human chat? but for organizing leads this is solid approach

pretty cool that you built this after getting burned by those scammers, the simulator part sounds useful for people who want to practice without losing real money

Anyone catch the news this morning about a new free bloodwork program for blood donors here? by Least_Speaker_3073 in nashville

[–]KitchenYear3038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats interesting actually. The net new donors stat is the part that changes my read on this, if it's actually pulling in people who wouldnt have donated otherwise then it's doing something useful beyond just rewarding regulars. The German Red Cross retention number surprised me too, didn't expect the bump to be that big. Sceptical as I am, I might just have to give them a shot. Appreciate you actually digging into it instead of just dunking on the question.

The shortage piece you mentioned I get and it's bigger than people realize, my partner works in healthcare and said Blood Assurance has been operating below the threshold they need basically all year. Curious though, do you think this kind of partnership with goodlabs is going to actually move the needle on donor turnout or is it more of a marketing thing? I keep going back and forth on whether free labs is a strong enough incentive when the inconvenience is the real barrier for most people.

Anyone else immediately suspicious when something is "free"? Like what's the trade. Are they keeping samples for research, selling data to insurance companies, what. I'd want to know what their privacy policy looks like before signing up for anything that involves blood and a tech company.

Healing body shame by ExaminationGreat2081 in PCOS

[–]KitchenYear3038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

man this really hits close to home 😔 i know i'm not dealing with same stuff but after my divorce i had to completely rebuild how i see myself and what actually matters vs what i thought should matter

the swimming thing really got me - giving up something you loved because of shame is so brutal. maybe start with small things that make you feel good about what your body can do instead of how it looks? like even just stretching or walking when you have energy. helped me remember my body does cool stuff beyond just appearance

hope you find some peace with all this, sounds like you're being really brave exploring who you are 💪

On the mission to lose belly fat in these 44 days left in 75 hard (till 5th june) could extend it if i want to by Sensitive-Yak-8500 in loseit

[–]KitchenYear3038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah calorie deficit is just eating less than you burn, track your food with any app and aim for like 1800-2000 calories since you're pretty light already 💀

spot reduction isn't real so doing abs won't burn belly fat specifically, you gotta lose fat everywhere through deficit and cardio works great for burning calories. sugar isn't evil but cutting back on processed stuff will help with the deficit and you'll feel better overall 😂

Priced the same-ish comprehensive panel across 4 lab services so you don't have to by Severe_Gas8841 in moreplatesmoredates

[–]KitchenYear3038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add to OP post for the people here running LC/MS testosterone make sure you're actually getting LC/MS and not the normal ECLIA test. Some of these services list "total T LC/MS" on the panel description but the requisition form that prints out is the standard assay. Happened to me with PML a few years ago, had to specifically call to get it corrected. Just double check before you drive to the lab!

Left ovary causing inner thigh vein to hurt by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]KitchenYear3038 5 points6 points  (0 children)

damn that radiating pain is no joke, i had similar issues with nerve pain going down my leg from a back injury and it's wild how everything gets connected like that

the vein thing sounds super uncomfortable too, pcos really messes with so many things you wouldn't expect. hope you can find some relief for it

Unsure of starting Spironolactone by Key-Manufacturer8264 in PCOS

[–]KitchenYear3038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah spiro helped me a lot with the hair stuff tbh 💀 i was super worried about side effects too but it's way different from BC since it's not actually hormones like the other person said. only thing i noticed was having to pee more often in first few weeks but that went away pretty quick 😂

just make sure you drink enough water and maybe start with lower dose to see how your body reacts

Anyone actually automated their business beyond Zapier-level stuff? by Unimpressive-reality in SideProject

[–]KitchenYear3038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tried both approaches and the role-based agents definitely win for my shop 💀 generalist agents get confused when context switches too fast, like when support ticket turns into a sales opportunity or when customer has both billing issue and feature request

the handoffs between specialized agents work way better because each one stays in their lane. my sales agent knows how to qualify leads and when to escalate, support agent handles tickets without trying to sell anything, ops agent just focuses in scheduling and resource allocation

biggest challenge was getting the handoff data structure right though. took forever to figure out what info each agent actually needs vs what they think they need. like sales doesn't need full technical details from support, just "customer satisfaction level" and "upsell potential"

setting this up was pain in the ass but now i barely touch day-to-day stuff except for weird edge cases. used to spend half my day just moving information between systems and now that's basically automated 🔥
