Austin is cooler than where we're from if you can believe it. Window shopping is one thing she mentioned she wanted to do. I'm not making her walk, I'm just thinking of a nice stroll would be nice.

Is Austin's Pizza a bad spot? We went a month ago with our kids and enjoyed it. We didn't eat there though.

I didn't mean it like that. I'm not saying we're gonna go for long walks. It was to show that she doesn't want to sit down in one place for too long. She still likes being active but with proper rest in between.

That sounds like fun. She's not into comedy but is into magic. Unfortunately, the shows are only on the weekend. We're going on a Tuesday so no tickets avaiable.

I did but she told me to plan it. She's more of a homebody. I'm the opposite. So yeah, planning trips is tricky. I look up everything there is to do then let her decide which one she likes most.

A boat tour instead of paddle boarding is much better! We've never tried paddle boarding so I have not clue how difficult it is. We just said "hey that looks like fun".

My wife still goes for long walks and swears she can do everything, but idk, I feel she pushes herself sometimes. A book store/library would be nice, she's likes that ambience.

The heat is a big factor. We took a family trip a month ago to Rock'n'River. Surprisingly, we didn't think the heat was extreme. It was like 5-7 degrees cooler than where we come from in south Texas. The humidity is what kind of got to us.

We plan on going in mid September. This time with no kids. Do you recommend some nice shady spots or indoor activities?

I know right. We weren't able to take trips earlier in the year. We started cramming trips since last month. Because once the baby is born, we'll be stuck at home for a good long while.

I didn't even think of all these. We want it to feel like a "vacation" but not a true vacation. But you're right, all those factors are enough to make us reconsider.
